Science keeps making the possibility of a better life for millions of people just in reach. I am watching with great anticipation!

The organ transplant waitlist may soon be history. Scientists have grown a fully functional human kidney in the lab that works just like a real one—filtering blood, balancing electrolytes, and producing urine. Even more groundbreaking, experts say we’re only months away from printing personalized organs using a patient’s own cells. No waiting lists, no donor shortages, no rejection—this is the future, and it’s almost here.

This hits different when it's your mama. Your kid. Your best friend on that waiting list.

Right now, more than 10,000 Texans are praying someone said "yes" to donation.

More than 10,000 families holding their breath.

They're somebody's person. Somebody's whole world.

It takes 2 minutes to register and could give someone a lifetime.

Y'all in? 💙💚

Altruistic kidney donations — when somebody gifts an organ to a stranger — are rare. This is the story of one that brought two local families together.

Everyone can make a difference, even if you can’t personally donate.

Here's the hard truth...I am in need of a Living Donor. My results from a recent biopsy shows that my transplanted kidney is being rejected. The wait list for a new kidney is 7-9 years on dialysis. Each year on dialysis is bad for my health and reduces my chance of having a successful transplant.

Living Donation lasts twice as long as a deceased donor and has a much higher rate of being successful. My last transplanted kidney was traumatized in transport and never fully functioned for me.

If you or someone you know would like to consider donating for me, please fill out the form linked in my pinned post. Please share my page with everyone you know and spread this to everyone you know.

Today is my 1 year anniversary of my last transplant. I’m officially back on the wait list for another one. My transplanted kidney never got over 20% function due to being traumatized in transport. Praying for a living donor!!

I had a kidney biopsy on Friday. I’ve had about 7 biopsies since my transplant last year. Always checking to see if my FSGS has infected the new kidney. So far, I’ve been good.
