Bonuses up to $800,000.

Minimum requirements:

What if residency didn’t mean living on a resident’s salary alone?

Recipients of the Navy Financial Assistance Program (FAP) receive approximately $79,000 per year in Navy benefits on top of their residency salary (typically $67K–$76K, depending on program).

That means FAP can nearly double your income during residency — while you continue doing the same training and workload as your peers.

What’s the tradeoff?

Yes, there is a service commitment. In return for FAP support, physicians owe 3–5 years of active-duty service with Navy Medicine after training.

For many residents, it’s a worthwhile exchange:
• Reduce or eliminate student loan burden early
• Secure a guaranteed physician position
• Launch your attending career in locations such as Spain, Japan, Guam, San Diego, or Norfolk.

Residency is already demanding. Financial stress doesn’t have to be part of it.

If you’re a current medical resident and want to explore whether FAP aligns with your long-term goals, I’m happy to connect and walk you through the details.

$800,000 BONUS.
🤯 Lump-sum payout. New 3-year obligation now available.

These are among the highest incentives the Navy has offered physicians and the 3-year path adds flexibility for those considering service.

Navy medicine offers exceptional leadership development and high-stakes clinical experience in mission-driven environments few other physicians encounter.

The Medical Corps advantage:

• Clinical autonomy: Focus on patients without insurance interference.

• High-stakes care: Lead teams and treat warfighters in operational settings.

• Unique opportunities: Aviation medicine with flight time, dive medicine with elite units, and deployments supporting Marines.

• Integrated lifestyle: Fitness, leadership, and professional growth built into the workday

You chose medicine to care for patients. You did not choose it to battle insurance denials. No other path combines this level of autonomy and adventure.

The real question is not the bonus. It’s whether the mission and environment align with your goals.

Does the new 3-year flexibility or increased incentives change your view on serving?

The Navy is offering nurses signing bonuses from $30,000 to $250,000 🤯

A nurse graduating with their BSN can qualify for $30,000 for a 3-year obligation or $50,000 for a 4-year obligation to start their career.

If you specialize, those numbers scale quickly:
- Critical Care Nurses: $100,000 bonus.
- Mental Health Nurse Practitioners: $120,000 bonus.
- Experienced CRNAs: Up to $250,000.

Nurses show up and carry the heavy stuff. Every. Single. Day.

It’s a job built on split-second judgment and carrying a level of responsibility most people couldn't handle. Seeing numbers like this is a real acknowledgment of the expertise you bring to the table.

For new grads, this is a massive head start. A $50,000 bonus to gain world-class experience while serving the nation is definitely not "business as usual".

Even if the military isn't for you, it's worth knowing what your skills are worth in today's market. If you’ve ever wondered about this path, it’s worth a look
