I’m back as guest host on the 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝘀! 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀 podcast—this is my fifth time behind the mic—and this conversation is full of real talk and practical tools.

In 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟯𝟮: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀, I’m joined by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻, a rheumatologist and researcher at Duke University School of Medicine. We get into why weight loss is especially challenging with arthritis—and how to approach it without shame or one-size-fits-all pressure.

𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿:
✅ How excess weight impacts both osteoarthritis and inflammatory arthritis
✅ The pros and cons of GLP-1 meds and bariatric surgery
✅ What sustainable, supportive weight management actually looks like

If you’ve ever been told to “just lose weight” without real support—this one’s for you.

Finally got the last of my medals up and took this pic while everything’s still in place.

These go all the way back to 2014, and this is actually the first time they’ve all been on the wall at the same time. Not because I didn’t want to, but because after shoulder surgery in 2023, I couldn’t reach up to hang them. A whole year passed. Now that the house is on the market, I wanted to make sure I got this picture before they eventually have to come down.

They’re not just medals. They’re part of the story. I started out walking. I’ve run through asthma, flat feet, shin splints, surgeries, chronic illnesses, things that really could’ve shut it all down. I’ve stopped, started, struggled, rested, kept going. Every one of these was earned.

This wall has reminded me for years that I’m still here, still going, still doing what I can.

So before anything changes, I just wanted this moment for myself.

If you’re dealing with your body, your health, your energy, or just trying to make it through the day, you’re not the only one.

This is part of my story. I just hope it reminds you to keep going with yours.

I’m back as guest host on the Live Yes! With Arthritis podcast—this is my fourth time behind the mic, and I’m proud to share this one with you.
