Sadly, they had a fire back in 2023, and over the last year and a half, they have rebuilt from the ground up. We found ourselves there earlier this week and must say, the food, and margaritas, is even better than we remember!

Happy Juneteenth! ❤️💛💚🖤

In celebration of the holiday, we took a virtual tour of historic Memphis, TN this afternoon while enjoying a few Memphis favorites! We also took some time to learn the history behind the holiday of Juneteenth (a.k.a. “Freedom Day”). On June 19, 1865, Union troops freed enslaved African Americans in Galveston Bay, and across Texas, some two and a half years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation.

Meet Barbara, the resident behind “Cards by Barb”💌✍️✂️

She handcrafts greeting cards year-round. Several of her neighbors order custom cards as needed, while others wait for her to set up her table and choose from her vast selection. Barb donates all of her proceeds to The Solana Preserve, resident-led, associate appreciation holiday fund. During her sale yesterday, she sold over 60 cards!
