Our Pumpkin Patch of Gratitude has arrived!

As Fall hits its stride, our Caleo Counseling waiting room will begin blooming with messages of positivity. Each pumpkin carries a note of gratitude, encouragement, or a kind thought—reminding us of the small joys that brighten our days.

Adding engaging activities like this in our waiting room helps boost moods, create a welcoming space, and encourage connection. It’s a simple way to spark reflection, lift spirits, and invite everyone to pause and share a positive thought.

Watch as it grows!

Even when it feels like you’re facing life on your own, the reality is that you are never truly alone.

Support may not always look like we expect, but it exists in someone who listens without judgment, in resources and programs built to help, and in small moments of self-care that remind us of our worth.

Your journey toward mental health and wellness is valid, and every step you take, whether reaching out or simply being present with yourself, is meaningful.

Connection is always possible.

There are still 24 hours left to reserve your spot for our Cultivating Community Fundraiser Dinner at Seasoned for next Thursday, Oct. 30th at 5:30PM.

This special evening will feature fresh produce straight from our own garden, celebrating connection, community, and collaboration. Together, we’re supporting mental health and wellness, our therapeutic gardening program, and the hands-on learning of SUNY Adirondack's talented Culinary Arts students.

“ASCEND is a program that benefits our community in many ways, and collaborating with them to raise money in support of all they do is a pleasure. We are so excited to use their community garden harvest on the menu to meet our student objectives of designing menus based on ingredient flavor profiles and restaurant service skills.”
— Chef Matt Bolton, Culinary Instructor at SUNY Adirondack

Last week we had the opportunity to take part in the 4th Annual Warren Washington Counties Brainstorm Collaborative Community Resource Event!

This inspiring event brings together the community to celebrate brain health, mental wellness, and recovery and we’re grateful to be part of it.

Our Dual Recovery Coordinator, Ginger Miller, led an engaged and thoughtful group through her interactive workshop “A Walk in Their Shoes,” focusing on the dual diagnosis of mental health and substance use and/or addiction.

Members from our East Side Center Day Program also joined in, taking part in workshops like “Connecting with Your Grief,” led by Laura Brown, Hospice Services Counselor from High Peaks Hospice —creating their own grief jars and learning new ways to understand and process grief.

Through continuous outreach events like this, we’re able to connect with individuals where they are, strengthening community relationships and promoting awareness, access to care, and resources while breaking down stigma.

Take intentional time for your mental wellness.

Fall is a season of change, it is a perfect time to pause and be purposefully present. Taking intentional time for yourself, whether it’s a mindful walk, journaling, or quiet reflection, helps you set goals, focus your energy, and stay grounded.

Being intentional about how you spend your time isn’t just about getting things done — it’s self-care that protects your mental health, reduces negative thoughts, and lifts your mood.

Use this season to create space for yourself, set small goals, and nurture your mind and spirit.

Our East Side Center members took a scenic trip to Veterans Beach in Lake George. Even with the chilly weather, everyone enjoyed some fresh air, beautiful fall foliage, and time in nature.

Getting out together like this not only lets us appreciate the changing season, but also helps support social interaction, connection, and mental wellness. Spending time outdoors and with others helps lift spirits, reduce stress, and strengthen community bonds.
