Due to current weather conditions and to ensure the safety of our staff and the communities we serve, all of our offices will open at 10:00 AM today.

Inclement weather can add stress, uncertainty, and anxiety to our day. We encourage everyone to move slowly, allow extra time if you need to travel, and make choices that prioritize your safety and well-being.

A little extra care during weather like this goes a long way in supporting both physical safety and mental well-being. Please stay safe, remain cautious, and remember that it’s okay to pause, breathe, and ask for support when needed.

January is Mental Wellness Month.

A new year often brings resolutions and goals, but mental health deserves a place at the top of that list. With new beginnings comes the chance to intentionally care for your mental well-being.

The World Health Organization defines health as complete physical, mental, and social well-being, reinforcing an important truth: there is no health without mental health.

This month, commit to making your mental wellness a priority. Small, consistent steps can create lasting habits that support your well-being throughout the year.

As the days move forward, taking a moment to notice where your energy is going can be meaningful. For individuals navigating mental health challenges alongside substance use or addiction recovery, being mindful of what you give your time and attention to can help create steadiness during demanding moments.

Recovery doesn’t require a perfect plan. Sometimes it looks like making thoughtful choices by showing up, setting a boundary, or reaching for support when things feel heavy. These choices can help shape a sense of stability and connection.

Our Dual Recovery Group offers a peer-led space where your presence matters. There’s no pressure to explain or perform, just a safe space to be heard, felt, and seen.

Just because 2025 has wrapped up, doesn't mean our mission stops.

Every day, every moment, we continue meeting individuals where they are, supporting mental health, recovery, and wellness in our community.

The impact we make together doesn’t pause with the calendar; it grows.💚💜💙

With the new year underway, it’s easy to feel pressure to change, improve, or reinvent yourself. But a new year doesn’t require a new version of you.

Mental health and wellness aren’t about becoming someone else, they’re about caring for who you already are. Growth can look like setting gentler expectations, honoring your limits, and giving yourself permission to move at your own pace.

This year, consider shifting from resolutions rooted in pressure to intentions grounded in compassion. Progress may be quiet. Healing may be slow. And that is still progress.

As you move forward, reflect on this question: What would it mean to support your mental health this year with honesty, patience, and grace?

We are so grateful to Stewart's Shops for their Holiday Match program, which has helped us support the youth we serve through our Health Home Care Management Program.

Each year, youth and their families in our communities face growing challenges. Contributions like this help ensure our programs can continue providing essential support, improving care and outcomes for the youth and families we serve.

Thanks to Holiday Match, we’ve been able to help remove barriers to mental health and wellness. For example, families have received fuel cards to attend mental health and doctor appointments, and children have participated in summer camps or community activities they otherwise couldn’t afford.

We’ve also helped families meet basic needs that support overall well-being from providing school supplies, clothing, and hygiene essentials, to purchasing beds or mattresses for children in need.

During extreme circumstances, these funds have helped youths and their families stay safe and stable, including paying for heating in the dead of winter or covering rent to prevent imminent eviction.

Together, we're making a difference. 💚

Happy World Introvert Day!

Today, we honor reflection, quiet moments, and the essential role introverts play in our world. Introverts aren’t shy, antisocial, or disconnected; they often recharge internally, finding balance through stillness, reflection, and intentional time alone. Quiet moments aren’t avoidance; they’re a pathway to mental wellness.

Whether it’s journaling, creating, resting, or simply sitting with your thoughts, these moments help restore energy and nurture well-being. In a world that often values being loud or constantly “on,” choosing stillness can be a strength.

Let’s celebrate quiet strength, deep insight, and self-reflection.

Embrace your unique qualities and be proud of the richness of your inner world. Your thoughtful presence matters.

Happy New Year from ASCEND!

As we step into 2026, take this time to set intentions for your mental health and wellness. This year, give yourself permission to prioritize your well-being, to grow at your own pace, and to recognize your strength, even on the days it feels hard.

Remember that it’s okay to lean on others, to check in with yourself, to pause, and to ground yourself when life feels overwhelming. Healing and growth don’t have to be done alone.

So let’s start our new year rooted in balance, growth, and well-being.

As we close out the year, we want to pause and share a message of gratitude and reflection from our CEO.

“As we reflect on this past year, we are deeply grateful for the strength, compassion, and connection that define our community. Every day, we see how meaningful relationships among businesses, neighbors, partners, staff, and those we serve create hope, opportunity, and support for mental health and wellness.

We are proud to be part of a community that believes in caring for one another, meeting people where they are at, and ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need to live with dignity, purpose, and well-being.

Your generosity makes this work possible. Because of your support, individuals and families in our community are met with understanding, encouragement, and services that foster stability, personal growth, and independence.

As the year comes to a close, please know how much your partnership means to us. We move into the new year inspired by your kindness and confident in what we can accomplish together.”
