According to a recently published article in the British Journal of Nursing:

💧 The use of tissue adhesives, specifically cyanoacrylate glue, when securing vascular access devices, could enhance haemostasis and securement and protect against bloodstream infection
💧 Dressing integrity is preserved because bleeding and exudation are
controlled with the use of tissue adhesive
💧 Despite the initial expense, tissue adhesive use led to significant savings by reducing the frequency of dressing changes and associated nursing time

by enhancing haemostasis, securement and infection control. This practice

The vision of the Adhezion team is to redefine the way cyanoacrylate-based surgical adhesives and sealants are used in medicine. Our mission is to provide technologies that achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Adhezion currently is developing and commercializing cyanoacrylate‐based adhesives and sealants for use in professional and consumer healthcare settings. We specialize in products that provide solutions for three distinct healthcare segments; Surgical, Wound Management and Infection Prevention. We have a robust product pipeline under development and several products that are being commercialized both in the U.S. and international markets.
