When do I notice my ego say “hi” —>
👉🏻 when I fall out or wobble in a pose
👉🏻 when I refuse to move or modify a pose that doesn’t feel right
👉🏻 when I ignore my body and begin to compete and/or compare to others.

This was especially hard when starting yoga, when I wanted to embrace my imperfections but my ego had other ideas.

Yoga allows us to notice our ego, and when it rises to say ‘hello’ we can say hi back and move on. Yoga can allow you to accept your imperfections on and off the mat.

In our beginner practice tomorrow our theme is letting go. Come embrace your ego while embracing your body and breath in the moment. Come with an open heart and mind and be willing to wobble with me.

Yoga runs through my whole life, as BKS Iyengar said “Yoga is a mirror to look at ourselves from within”.

To look inwardly you have to feel safe, comfortable and relaxed. This can change daily in our lives however when you practice yoga asana in a shared space this is a number one priority.

Come join me in person at Yoga Studio 225 in Brooklyn MI for a 4 week beginner’s yoga series, where we will connect with our breath and body while easing our body into some yoga postures (asanas).

Grateful Breath Yoga

Grateful Breath Yoga offers indoor and outside community adult yoga classes in Hudson, for beginners to experienced yogis. As of the start of June 2020 classes are now outside in the park until it is safe for us to move inside.

Practice focuses on mindfulness and gratitude, while allowing the breath to lead our flow through yoga postures. Each class includes breath work to settle into the practice and to let go of our ‘to do’ lists, then flowing through yoga postures and finishing with relaxation. My practice and teaching style offers modifications in each posture to meet your needs. I teach by offering you points to bring you’re awareness to your alignment while also cueing you into your breath and mind.

❤️As always beginners are always welcome. All my practices cater to all skills and levels, and all postures can be amended to meet your needs.

❤️Practice continues to be free to all. However if you would like to donate to the practice this is an option, $5 -$10 as guide. It can be done in person or over paypal kauby6@gmail.com. This is only an option, I continue to strive to offer Yoga to all no matter the budget.
