I was a bit nervous when I heard that doTERRA was reformulating their shampoo and conditioner.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🙌These hair care products have been the ONLY thing that I have ever found that ACTUALLY WORKS + doesn't irritate my scalp (thank goodness my days of an itchy head are over!).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT, I know this new option is better.

🧊But I also like to add a little cooling and refreshing boost to my water or iced tea with a drop of peppermint oil.

Adaptiv
•apply topically on pulse points or the bottom of the big toe
•diffuse a few drops in your diffuser
•apply to your hands and deeply inhale

⏱Consistency is key! Make sure that you are using your oils every 20 minutes for an acute issue and 2-4x a day for regular, daily support.

While a healthy nervous system can tolerate a lot, it is important to make simple changes that will reduce stress to promote long term wellness.

⛈Most of the time, when your nervous system enters a state of chronic stress, it is due of many factors that add up into the perfect storm.

🌱One of the things I have have done over the past several years to relieve some additional stress on my system is to find greener, cleaner options.

✨This DIFFUSER HACK is for you!

One of the ways that I have found to encourage me to stay on top of my daily diffusing is to keep a pitcher of water right next to my diffuser at all times.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This makes it super easy and convenient to fill and has helped me maintain the healthy, daily habit of diffusing my oils.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can find a cute water pitcher, or you can use a water bottle, empty gallon jug or flower vase, or anything else you can find around your house!

🙌Keep it simple, keep it easy, and keep diffusing!

One of the things I love about Michigan is that we truly experience all four seasons.

🍂The crisp fall with colorful leaves.
❄️The cool winter months, blanketed with snow.
🌷The warming spring, with thawing ground and new plants.
☀️The bright and hot sunshine of summer.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
God's creation moves in a lovely cycle, rotating between these beautiful seasons, each providing something different to enjoy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Over the past 13 years, I have experienced a variety of seasons in my health. Some have been good, some have been hard, some have been discouraging, others have been triumphant.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just as God masterfully created the seasons of Creation, He is also worked through each season of my health and healing. And He is doing the same for you (even when it doesn't feel like it).

❤️Maybe you are in a season of discouragement.

🔥An evening outside with a campfire last night, while enjoyable, certainly left me needing some additional support to keep my breathing easy and my airways clear!

I know that supporting healthy respiratory function has been on many of our minds lately.

Probably even more so due to all high pollen counts. Sneezy springs are the worst springs. 🤧

Here are some of my favorites for healthy respiratory function:

🌱Breathe - supports healthy respiratory function. You can feel your airways open up when you breathe this in and apply over your sinuses + on your chest.

🌱Lemon + Lavender + Peppermint - apply on sinuses, behind the ears, and/or on the bottom of the little toes when you are struggling with pollen.

🌱Eucalyptus + Lime + Copaiba - a great combo to diffuse at night to support open airways and a restful night’s sleep.😴

🙌You are ready for some outdoor fun!

Have you ever felt like your healing journey is taking too long?

I have been at this for 1️⃣3️⃣ years.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know some of you have been doing this for much longer. For some of you, it has been a much shorter period of seeking health + healing. But, no matter the length of time, you have likely experienced triumphs + frustrations.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While I sometimes feel like I should be DONE. FINISHED. 100% HEALTHY. We aren’t quite there yet (but I do think I am getting pretty darn close!).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⏰This takes time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Be patient, friend.

I have learned that I should never stop

Next time, reach for these oils:

PastTense - you will really feel that icy-hot sensation when you apply this blend. It is great at soothing emotional + muscular tension.

Breathe - if your tension is related to sinus + upper respiratory issues, apply this across your forehead and nose to relieve some discomfort.

How do I use my oils?🤷‍♀️

After “What oils should I use?”, this is always the next question.

How? Where? How much?

There are three ways you can use your oils:

🌱Aromatically
•This will be the most diluted option. You can inhale straight from the bottle, diffuse, or apply to jewelry or another wearable object.
•This is most beneficial when you are looking to impact the brain, cleanse the air or surfaces, have an impact over a longer period of time, or benefit an entire group or environment.

🌱Topically
•Applying your oils to your skin allows them to be absorbed into your bloodstream in an easy, efficient, and effective way. Dilute with a carrier oil to reduce sensitivity and increase absorption.

🌱Internally
•You can take oils internally in water, under the tongue, or in a veggie capsule.
•Use under the tongue for quick access to the blood stream and the brain. Use in a capsule or water to impact your digestive tract or organs.
