5 things I’d tell you as a chiropractor if I wasn’t afraid to hurt your feelings…

1. There is a cost to quality healthcare. You can’t just get a quick “crack” for a low monthly rate and fix years of poor mechanics.

2. Poor mechanics is the biggest indicator of injury, not your posture, not your pillow, not your mattress

3. Care plans aren’t suggestions. They are best options to maximize your healing potential based on clinical evidence and science.

4. Massages feel good, but if the problem keeps coming back then the issue needs to be evaluated.

5. You are NOT your diagnosis. You are not a herniated disc someone diagnosed 10 years ago. You are not arthritis. You are not a rotator cuff tear. You are a human, and human bodies have the ability to heal. You just need to find the right practitioner who will look at your whole body and make a care plan individualized for you.
