So you want to work on your nutrition but you’re not sure where to start.

When working with new clients (whether it’s for overall health or to lose some weight) I always begin with something small. For example slowing down when eating. Taking time to really chew your food. Putting your fork down between every bite. This helps to aid digestion among other benefits.

I know it may sound silly, but by starting out small with the intent to create lasting sustainable habits will set you up for long term success. 🌱

I wanted to take the time to reintroduce myself. Hi I’m Rachael, your certified nutrition coach! I also coach CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting. I’m a wife and mother with a passion for fitness and nutrition. I’m also a crazy chicken lady!

I didn’t always love fitness or nutrition. In fact, it wasn’t until my 30’s that I finally decided to take control of my health. I fell in love with CrossFit and enjoyed learning about nutrition so I decided to get my CrossFit Level 1 as well as become a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. I love helping people especially with reaching their fitness and nutrition goals.

Happy New Year! I know, I’m a few days late. It’s been some time since I’ve posted here. Life has been a bit crazy since moving to Texas and I’ve not spent much time doing nutrition coaching. I didn’t stop completely as I’ve had a few clients by word of mouth and hosted multiple nutrition challenges at my gym, but I’ve kept my clientele down due to other priorities that come along with being a mom to teens and a military wife.

Anyway, I’m BACK! I’ll be posting a bit more regularly again sharing tips and tricks and some nutrition advice as well as some of my fitness journey. My hope is to build Take Root Nutrition to the community it was originally planned it to be…and I’m so glad you’re along for the ride!

I freaking love what I do! Would you look at this 45 day transformation?! Not only has Olivia had great physical changes, it’s obvious in these pictures she also had a mentality shift. She just looks happier! Olivia has shown great dedication to reaching her goals. She learned to trust the process, and to finally say F*ck the scale. She’s PRd basically every lift and even achieve some pretty long awaited weightlifting goals. She’s leaned out while eating MORE food! (Food is fuel people!) She cut out unnecessary things from her nutrition, while still finding the space to have a fun night out with some friends. She wasn’t “perfect”. That’s not what it’s about. It’s about progress . It’s about finding a way to make sustainable lifestyle changes to keep you accountable.

I am so excited for you Olivia! I can’t wait to keep watching you grow physically, and mentally. Keep kicking ass!

Hey guys! I know, long time no see. Since moving to Texas, I’ve had to take a small step back from Take Root Nutrition to get settled. And while that’s taken longer than I had hoped, I’ve decided to go ahead and continue to take a break until the new year. This will not effect current clients but it will allow me more time to focus on programming and a better business plan so that come January I’ll be ready to fully commit to Take Root and more clients.

With that being said, I’m opening 5 spots for nutrition coaching that will start in January. If you are interested, message me for the details.

During the beginning stages of the pandemic, all my local nutrition clients had to go to remote coaching. And while we definitely missed the in person contact, there was no lack in coaching doing it online. We still enjoyed our 30 minutes together and I’m pretty sure if you were to ask any of them, they still received the same amount of guidance and support they’d receive during our in person check ins.

Nutrition coaching is so much more than just a macro count. When you sign up with Take Root Nutrition you gain not only the guidance to find what works for you and your personal goals, you also gain your own personal cheerleader. I’ll be there for you every step of the way! 🌱

Hey there, it’s me. I know I’ve been pretty quite recently. Moving and getting kids settled in school during 2020 has presented its own sorts of challenges, but I’m hanging in there (see what I did there 😉).

Just wanted to let you all know Take Root is still accepting remote clients during this time. Once things settle down I will be happy to start taking in person clients again. Shoot me a message if you’re ready to take charge of your nutrition! 🌱
