Buying your produce via direct delivery with Azure Standard is second best only to buying directly from a farmer you know in guaranteeing that you won't get Apeel on your produce. It is normally used at the retail store level, so if you buy produce without it ever being on a supermarket shelf, the chance of Apeel being on the produce becomes close to zero. If you’re looking for babywearing items in Huntsville, you still have time to support this amazing local business before they close their doors.

With the ongoing changes in retail, our goal for bringing unique babywearing items not already available in our local community is increasingly difficult.

Unfortunately, local big box stores offer most of the brands available to small babywearing retailers like Acorn Treasures.

Acorn Treasures retail storefront will be closing in mid May. Sarah plans to continue offering babywearing consultations after taking a short break.

Come by to shop in person a time or two more before the official closure of the storefront. Babywearing carriers, wraps, slings, cloth diapers, shoes, toys, and more are available. Many amazing items are here for you to take home or gift.

Thank you for 8 exciting years of learning to wear babies and children alongside you as well as supporting our small business as we expanded to offer additional items for growing children and families.

Hours are 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday or by appointment.

Come and hear Dr. Juliana Rangel speak at the 27th Annual Alabama Beekeepers' Symposium!

Dr. Rangel will be speaking on: "“Effects of agro-chemicals found in wax on the reproductive quality of honey bee queens"

Dr. Rangel is Assistant Professor of Apiculture in the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University (TAMU) in College Station, TX. teaching 'Honey Bee Biology', 'Introduction to Beekeeping', and 'Professional Grant and Contract Writing'. In 2021 she received the James I. Hambleton Memorial Award, which was established by the Eastern Apicultural Society of North America to recognize research excellence in apiculture. She also received the 2020 John G. Thomas Award for Meritorious Service from the Texas Beekeepers Association for her contributions to the apiculture industry in the state.

Dr. Rangel has also given talks on our 'At Home Beekeeping' monthly webinar so we KNOW you'll get a lot from her information!
