What is IpsiHand?
IpsiHand® is a safe, non-invasive stroke therapy that uses healthy brain activity when thinking about movement to retrain a new part of your brain to control your disabled arm and hand. Clinical benefits of IpsiHand include:

*Proven Results: IpsiHand has shown clinical improvements for stroke survivors in regaining use of their impaired arm or hand.
*Neuroplasticity: Using IpsiHand may improve your movement by positively changing your brain’s motor networks as you continue to use it.

You don’t need voluntary movement to benefit from using IpsiHand. The headset recognizes when you want to move your impaired hand or arm and moves with the handpiece accordingly.

No surgery, no pharmaceutical drugs, and no long-term wear required. The device is simple to use— take it on or off with just one hand. Typical IpsiHand users do independent therapy sessions. 1 hour per day, 5 days per week.

We are a therapist-owned private practice and provide outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy for adults with physical, cognitive or visual dysfunction. We offer a great working environment with a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

Candidates need to feel comfortable working with patients with a variety of disorders including Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Brain Injury, lymphedema and more. Training will be provided for all programs, and you will be part of a team that meets regularly to problem solve how to provide the best care for our patients.

Ipsihand Eligibility Criteria:
*Had a stroke over 6 months ago
*18 years or older
*Experiencing arm/hand weakness
*No recent neurosurgery resulting in soft spots, indentations, or irritation on the scalp
*No rigid contractures in the hand/wrist and severe spasticity
*Severe cognitive impairments are ineligible

Users should also be able to:
*Follow one-step visual or written commands
*Visually follow graphics on a tablet
*Hold head upright without support for 60 minutes

Is Ipsihand Covered by Insurance?
IpsiHand may be covered by your commercial insurance carrier and Medicare Advantage Plans.
