Sometimes we play hard in speech. And sometimes we need to take a break after the first day of school.

We still had a lot to talk about! How he “needed a break,” was “soooo sleepy,” putting “on” pillows and blankets, and him asking for his mom to “come with me” and snuggle up with him. Being child-led means meeting kids where they are while still supporting language growth.

I had an amazing and encouraging breakfast/vision board/prayer with some wonderful solopreneurs this morning, including my beautiful friend Tiffany, owner of Animal House Photography . It was great to dream big with other business owners. What a great idea, Rachel Key Photography !! 🙏💜

The kids and I had so much fun with these toys today, requesting (“I want red”), asking questions (“what’s inside?”), working on naming animals, and learning spatial concepts (in, on, out).

Rocket City Speech Therapy welcomes Morgan Hanson, M.S. CCC-SLP as a part time Speech-Language Pathologist.

Morgan is an Auburn University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Alabama. She's had the opportunity to work with both children and adults across a variety of settings, and is especially passionate about helping children and families find their voice and build confidence through communication. Morgan says "I'm thrilled to be joining the amazing team at Rocket City Speech Therapy and can’t wait to connect with and support the incredible families we serve!"

Rocket City Speech Therapy welcomes Asia as a new part-time SLP on the team!!

Asia McNealey, M.S.,CCC-SLP is a native of Huntsville, AL with a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Alabama with a major in communicative disorders and a minor in psychology. She went to further her career at Francis Marion University receiving a Master of Speech Language Pathology. She is dual licensed with state certification with Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology.

Asia is also nationally certified with American Speech Language Hearing Association ( ASHA) with her Certification of Clinical Competence. Asia has years of experience in the pediatric population specializing in autism spectrum disorder, AAC, and play therapy. She enjoys giving back to the community and being a resource for parents navigating new ASD diagnoses.
