"I would hear her, but I wouldn't actually listen and do it.....until January of 2021 I decided to start getting up every morning and working out with Pahla B....
"So I began....with these little 2 and 3 pound weights....exercising with her daily, Monday-Friday.... and gradually building stamina and strength.....
"Yes I have moved beyond those "tiny" weights and so can you!!
"One day at a time, one workout at a time, one pound at a time!!!!
"Don't despise the day of small beginnings ladies...who knows where you will end up!?!?!?!?!"
Mama Shelly shared this over in our Foxy Over Forty community today. What she *didn't* say is that she is now a certified personal trainer who lifts HEAVY and works with women in her personal gym, wherever they are starting out.
She's come a LONG way, baby! ;)
Shelly inspires me to keep working at moving my body with purpose and to continue challenging myself to not settle for less than what I am capable of doing. Whether that's lifting heavier, walking a little more, or drinking water upon waking - being in community with a mama like Shelly is a HUGE blessing and help in my health journey.
