DV SA survivors thriving Welcome, here is your safe place, an informal gathering for us all. DV. SA is domestic violence and sexual assault survivors thriving is our name.

I recently started taking certification courses to be able to work on a crisis line and was told I should open a group here in the area. The goal would be to have a gathering in person monthly but also FaceTime or Zoom for ones who can not make it. DV and SA are such a huge problem but swept under the rug. When you get away and start to feel safe those old feelings of self doubt tend to creep up. This group is made to help you learn healthy coping strategies. Your not alone there are lots of us out there. So if nothing else this group is here to let you know someone understands the isolation, the guilt you may feel, the sadness. I want a safe place for personal bonding that enables people to talk about their unspeakable experiences or even whatever you want to talk about.

Just a heads up but been hearing a lot about Mucinex and getting pregnant. I suppose if you do not want to get pregnant, you or your partner should not take Mucinex. Yall heard about this? Evidently, it helps you get pregnant on like the first try. Stay away from the Mucinex .... lol

I will soon graduate with my bachelor's in behavioral science. However, I only have experience in regular healthcare as a CNA or CMA. Could any of you guys suggest how I could get my foot in the door and eventually use my degree? I will be getting my Master but would there be any certifications I need that would help me, right now? I saw a RBT and was thinking of trying to get that to use with my bachelors since I have no experience persa. Any suggestions would be very much welcomed. Thanks in advance.

I am out here trying to get educated on crisis. Here are a few certifications, certificates and my associates degree ( toot tooting, my own horn lol) I am also halfway through my bachelor degree program for behavioral science. I just wanted anyone thinking of reaching out to see that I am attempting to learn all I can so I can put my best foot forward in helping with crisis.
