An important announcement about the Highway 210 overpass

If you use the Interstate 35/Iowa 210 interchange (Exit 102) near Huxley you need to be aware of upcoming construction work that may slow down your trip! 🚧🚧🚧

Beginning on Monday, March 17 through November 2025, weather permitting, crews will close the interchange so reconstruction work can take place.

While the interchange is closed, you will need to follow a marked detour route around the work zone using 126th Avenue/Polk County Road F-22, U.S. 69, Polk/Story County Road R-70, and Iowa Highway 30.

Changes could made to detour routes during the construction season. Please visit 511ia.org for current detour route information before traveling through this construction zone and pay attention to detour signing and messages boards while driving.

As we reflect on 2024, we're hit with som serious "WOWZERS" moments! Did you know the average career length of a massage therapist is generally between 5 and 15 years? This year, I'm starting my 24th year of practice, and Sonia is entering her 20th. Together, that's 44 combined years of doing with we love most - helping people feel their best.

This morning, we ran the numbers for 2024 and discovered we treated 61 more massage clients than in 2023, bringing us to a total of 1,144 massage appointments between the two of us. DOUBLE WOWZERS!

None of this wold be possible without the incredible clients in our neck of the woods. Every year gets better and better, and we owe it to all of you - the ones who trust us to be a part of your wellness journey. You love and support mean the world to us, and we are forever grateful.

Here's to a fantastic 2025. We'll see you on the table soon!

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday November 19th the City of Huxley Iowa is going to start a construction project along Highway 69 from East 1st Street to East 4th Street.

During construction traffic along Highway 69 will be shifted and our East 4th intersection will be periodically closed at times.

We know this isn't the most convenient or ideal. We recommend giving us a call or text before your scheduled chiropractic or massage appointment on the status of our East 4th street entrance. City Hall has told us they will let us know ahead of time if construction is going to affect our entrance.

Heads up for those of you traveling to us on Highway 69 north of Huxley. Starting July 11th through September 24th (weather permitting). Please read below

Heads up for those who take Hwy 69 between Huxley and Ames.

JEFFERSON, Iowa – July 1, 2024 – If you travel on U.S. 69 between Ames and Huxley you need to be aware of an upcoming road closure that could affect your trip.

Beginning on Thursday, July 11 at 7 a.m., until Tuesday, Sept. 24, weather permitting, crews will close U.S. 69 just north of 280th Street/Story County Road E-57 near Kelley so the Walnut Creek bridge can be replaced with a box culvert.

While U.S. 69 is closed you will follow a marked detour route using Iowa 210, Story County Road R-38, and U.S. 30.

The latest traveler information is available anytime through our 511 system. Happy Monday Peeps!

Missy here - it’s wedding week. So just a heads up on my office hours this week.

I will be in the office today (June 24) from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and Tuesday (June 25) from 9 am to 11 am

I will return phone calls and texts when I return to the office on Monday, July 1st.

Good morning all, just a heads up.

Our online scheduling app (Schedulicity) says that we are “not accepting new clients”.

Just to verify, we definitely are taking new clients but more on a case by case basis.

Sonia and I are 100% maintenance massage therapists. Which means our clients see us weekly, monthly, sometimes more frequently if needed.

We were finding that if we allowed new clients to book their own appointments online, those “new clients” would not show up for the time they scheduled. Not good.

So instead of requiring everyone to prepay for their massage appointments, we made the decision to turn off the portion of our online scheduler that allows new clients to book. We ask all potential new clients to simply give one of us a call before we schedule an appointment for you.

In short, if you’re looking to get a massage because it’s Thursday and raining - we probably can’t accommodate your request. But, if you’d like to give one of us a call to talk about what’s ailing you, please do so.
