🎨🎶 Calling Teaching Artists! 🎭🩰
Applications are now open for the next quarter of our Immokalee Arts in Health Program! We’re looking for passionate individuals with experience teaching an art form.

Whether you teach:
• Visual Arts
• Music
• Dance
• Theater
• Or any other artistic discipline

We invite you to apply.

This is a paid opportunity to make a meaningful impact by working with children through arts-based programming that supports health and well-being.

📌Requirements:
• Submit a proposal outlining at least 4 classes
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Experience teaching and working with children

If you’re dedicated to using the arts to inspire, empower, and support youth, we would love to hear from you!

📅 Applications are now open. Classes will be scheduled sometime within April-June.

Today at the Roberts Center, our wonderful seniors came together to decorate homemade cookies, sharing creativity, conversation, and plenty of smiles. We wrapped up our time with gentle stretches to support movement and wellness. It’s always a joy to build connection and healthy moments through art in our community 💙

Story Stones: The children painted stones that each told a special story, from magical creatures to family adventures. It was wonderful to see their creativity shine and their confidence grow as they shared the meaning behind their artwork!

Thank you to the wonderful art teacher Amelea Xe for creating a welcoming space where the children and families can learn and grow together. We are grateful for the joy and creativity you bring to our community.

Our morning was full of creativity, movement, and heart! Participants began with arts and crafts, cutting out hearts and making handmade greeting cards for someone special. Afterward, a medical student led our senior participants through gentle stretching and yoga moves designed just for them, helping everyone feel relaxed, energized, and supported. A joyful blend of wellness, creativity, and connection. 💙

In our Arts in Health class, children connected with nature by creating mandalas using leaves, flowers, and natural materials from the community garden. This mindful outdoor activity supported emotional wellbeing, reduced stress, and encouraged creativity, focus, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world 💙

Our young artists got busy creating bright and beautiful paper lanterns with colourful tissue paper and a splash of glue. There was lots of laughter, creativity, and proud smiles as their lanterns came to life!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special 💜

Our young artists dove into color, movement, and pure imagination, and their artwork turned out absolutely awesome!

Our young artists transformed simple glass jars into enchanting fairy and elf houses, letting their imaginations lead the way! Using air-drying clay, they sculpted tiny doors, windows, and whimsical details. Bringing their creations to life with pops of color and personality.

It was beautiful watching their creativity unfold and seeing how art can spark joy, confidence, and calm. Another reminder of how healing and empowering the arts can be 💜

Join us on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 5 PM for “Abstract Watercolor.”
