I was at the beach play volleyball or hiking in the forest imagining what the view from the top of the giant redwood trees looked like. Now that I am older I still love being outdoors in nature. The love of nature even carried through in school. While I was in college trying to decided what I wanted to major in, I once again found myself looking outside. I decided to get a Bachelors degree in Envi
ronmental Studies and Planning with focus in Water Quality. This lead me to the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve six years ago. At this same time, 2011, is when I began my journey in the practice of yoga. After a few years practicing yoga I had wanted to expand my knowledge of yoga through teacher training, but for some reason the time was never right. Until I found Akasha Yoga where I ultimately completed 200-hour teacher training under Stephanie Pafford. Yoga has given me; balance, clarity, and awareness when I have needed it most in a sometimes hectic, stressful, and a little unstable life. I am so excited to share what I have learned in hopes to help others find their own balance on and off of the mat through the practice of yoga.
