Soooo many ladybugs in the school garden this morning! We counted at least a dozen on just one milkweed. Hopefully they’re eating any aphids they find!

Five! I counted five Atala caterpillars having breakfast on one of my coontie this morning. They are one of my favorite Florida native butterflies! Yay!!

Bright pink powder puff blooms are always a beautiful, fun groundcover alternative to grass here in central and south Florida! The pollinators LOVE it, it’s a host plant for different butterflies, AND a nitrogen fixer for soil. Plus, once established no irrigation needed!
