This work examines how well FDA-approved breast cancer therapies apply to real-world patient populations — a critical step toward improving equity, access, and outcomes for all patients.

For many years, people with weakened immune systems—especially cancer patients who develop neutropenia during treatment—were told to follow a strict “neutropenic diet.” This eating plan was meant to reduce exposure to bacteria in food. But new research shows that this highly restrictive diet doesn't actually lower the risk of infection.
