Families play a crucial role in advocating for loved ones facing substance use disorders and or mental wellness challenges. Their support can make a significant difference, not just in the recovery process but also in raising awareness and education within the community. By sharing experiences, providing emotional support, and engaging in advocacy efforts, families can help eliminate stigma and promote access to vital resources.
If you or someone you know is navigating these challenges, remember that you are not alone. Together, we can create a more supportive environment for those on the journey to recovery.

🌟 Friendly Reminder! 🌟
The Circle Lighting Event is happening this Friday, September 5th at 8:30 PM! 💜✨ Join us as we light the Circle purple in honor of National Recovery Month.

⚠️ Important Parking Note: There will also be a Fever game downtown that night, so parking garages will be charging higher event rates. We encourage you to park north of the Circle for more cost-friendly options. Metered parking should also be available.

📍 Best Viewing Spot: The Recovery Month messaging will be displayed along the AES building on the south side of the Circle. The best view will be from the top of the stairs on the south side. For accessibility, a ramp is available on the east side of the Circle.

Come out, bring friends, and help us shine a light on recovery! 💡💜

🌟 It’s Wednesday—Let’s Connect! 🌟

Starting today, the IAIC Drop-In Center is open Wednesdays only, from 10 AM to 7 PM. Come by to meet our team, explore the space, and take a moment to relax.

We can’t wait to welcome you!

📣 Important Update from the IAIC 📣

Beginning next week (September 2025), the IAIC Drop-In Center will have new hours. We will now be open only on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

This shift allows our team to expand our outreach and community partnerships, meeting more individuals where they are and bringing support directly into the community.

We’re still here for you with the same amazing team and the same commitment to creating a welcoming, recovery-oriented space. Whether you’re looking for peer support, connection, or just a safe place to relax, we invite you to stop by during our new hours.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Along with Recovery Month, the IAIC also recognizes September as Suicide Awareness Month. đź’ś

As a program under the MHA Indy Pillar of Mental Health America of Indiana, our team is proud to support the Indy LOSS Team — Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors — with some of our team serving as dedicated volunteers in this vital effort.

We remain committed to providing ongoing support for all who are navigating recovery. This month, and every month, we honor the resilience of our peers and the essential role of connection, compassion, and community in the journey toward behavioral health and wellness.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Learn the warning signs, ⚠️normalize help-seeking, and let people know there are proven treatments that work.
