As a PT who treats neck pain, I get this question A LOT 👇🏼

"What pillow do you recommend?" 😴

I never used to have a good answer for this... It was always trial and error and hundreds of dollars later just to come up short and have 7 pillows that I hated.

I can honestly say this pillow has forever changed the way I sleep. If you've been around my page for a while, you may know that I have struggled on and off with chronic neck pain since 2020. Since using this pillow, I have had virtually zero neck pain flares and I can truly notice a difference when I don't have my pillow (travel, hotels, etc.).

They are not the same!!! 🙂‍↔️

Although dry needling and acupuncture are both used to treat pain and they use the same needles, they are very different!

Acupuncture follows Chinese medical principles like energy flows, acupoints, meridians, etc. It is believed that specific acupoints lie along meridians, which are considered channels for the flow of qi (vital energy). These meridians are mapped to organ systems rather than just anatomical structures.

Dry needling is based on modern medicine. It can help to bring fresh blood flow to a muscle, joint, nerve, tendon, etc. so the body can heal itself. It also has a systemic (whole body) effect which can feel like your nervous system calming down or getting a little reset!

This is what makes it truly impactful as a tool to help your body heal and why we love it as Doctors of Physical Therapy 💪🏼

Somehow our baby is 6 months old 😍

What a beautiful ride it has been becoming a mom to my sweet girl 🥹

Through the ups and downs of my postpartum journey, my love has grown more than I could’ve ever imagined.

My life is forever changed and I can’t wait for the rest of forever with my little bestie 🩷

The glow up is real 🥹

Wildflower is celebrating 5 years in business this week and I couldn’t be more grateful!!

I started Wildflower in 2019 in the hopes of creating a new standard of Physical Therapy care. One that feels personal and meaningful for our clients.

Don't fall into this trap... 🙄

Society wants us to believe that our self worth is tied to the way our body looks. There is a certain beauty standard that we feel shackled to because we are told time and time again that this is the only way to be accepted, to be beautiful, to be healthy.

F**K THAT!

Your body is the least interesting thing about you.

I have met SO MANY people who by all intensive purposes have a "perfect body" according to societal standards... but guess what? They don't have a period, they struggle with eating disorders, they have horrible labs, they struggle with their mental health, they isolate themselves from social events out of fear. Does this sound healthy to you??

Health comes in all shapes and sizes. Good or bad. Never forget this. You absolutely cannot "see health" simply by looking at someone's appearance.

In my opinion, your goals and aspirations, your passions, your career, your experiences, your sense of humor, your body's ability to run a marathon, lift weights, carry children..... are all FAR MORE INTERESTING than ***what your body looks like***

Each one of us has the responsibility to flip this script one day at a time. You are allowed to tell people not to comment on your body. You also have the power NOT to fall into this trap yourself.

I hope this resonated with you, please SHARE to spread the word and help flip this narrative. It's the only way to a more inclusive health space.
