I’ve always loved kids and they were a big part of my practice before I started my own family. Now, with the help of my husband - Isaiah Benakovich - we get to care for 4 children and they can definitely keep us busy. I love that my work can entangle into our lives personally because we’ve been able to meet so many other wonderful families that I now consider friends.
In practice, I get to work with entire families on a variety of different levels. From babies and children and allowing their amazing bodies to express their fullest innate potential ... to the little ones that have early health challenges. Parents and adults who are seeking to stay at their prime or people that are plagued with chronic conditions from pain and inflammation or autoimmunity, digestive distress or other imbalances.
I believe in the power of plants and believe that God has given us these special gifts to be cherished and used for healing when necessary.
My introduction into health and nutrition has been weaved into my being since the beginning. I had the great privilege to be raised by my mom (Ginny Montieth) and dad (Rick Montieth) in small town Whitestown, IN with my two older brothers Brett & Andrew. With the help of my grandparents (Dick & Peg), our family grew GEORGETOWN MARKET into a successful, local health food store that is still growing after 40+ years. P.S. They have the best juice bar in Indy!
The seeds of "alternative medicine" continued to be sown as I grew and my mom introduced me to holistic chiropractic care, quantum physics, and energy medicine. By middle school, I was completely fascinated and knew I wanted to become a chiropractor. In 2007, I graduated from LOGAN COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC with a special interest and training in pediatrics and prenatal care from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Fast forward to 2013 with the birth of my first child, Hunter. He spent 6 weeks in the NICU / PICU after being on ECMO ... and that is where my focus on functional medicine and restoring gut health really grew. We both spent the next couple of years on a healing journey that was well worth the difficulties it may have presented at times.
Since then, I have been blessed with two girls, Kylie and Clara. I desire to be a more conscious mother to Noah and Hunter and the girls and aspire to be a conscious partner to Isaiah. We spend many of our days adventuring in nature, figuring out how to homeschool, and learning life together.
