Damar is proud to introduce the 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦, a new, no-cost support service for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as their families and caregivers.

When challenges feel overwhelming or a situation begins to escalate, our trained professionals are ready to provide immediate, compassionate support. The Damar Response Team offers short-term intervention focused on stabilization, de-escalation, and connecting families to the right next steps.

Damar Health Services clinic and pharmacy will close at noon tomorrow, 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟏, and will be closed on 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏, in observance of New Year’s Day.

We will reopen on 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐, with normal business hours to continue serving our patients and community.

This year, Damar was honored to take part in East Chicago Parks & Recreation’s Tree Decorating Event and Annual Celebration of Lights, a cherished community tradition that brings together local businesses, organizations, and residents to kick off the holiday season.

The experience was especially meaningful for our Damar East Chicago campus, as it marked our first time being invited to participate. Our team poured creativity and heart into decorating our tree, and we were thrilled to be awarded 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚. 🎄✨

Thank you to East Chicago Parks and Recreation for welcoming us into this wonderful celebration. We are grateful for the opportunity, the recognition, and the chance to celebrate the holiday spirit alongside such an incredible community.

We look forward to participating again next year.

Last week, Damar came alive with joy and holiday spirit! 🎄✨

Our 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 went a little Grinchy, in the best way, bringing festive fun, laughter and plenty of smiles to the kids we serve.

The celebration continued at our 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲, where music, karaoke, and dancing filled the room as our adult clients enjoyed a night made for fun and friendship.

From kids to adults, these celebrations are a reminder that everyone deserves to feel joy, belonging, and community, especially during the holidays.

A HUGE thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped make both celebrations so special!

Santa made his final stop today at our Ameriplex ABA Clinic.

We’re once again extending our heartfelt thanks to sMaac Digital Marketing, LLC for making these magical visits possible through their 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙖𝙨 fundraiser. Because of their generosity, every child in our ABA clinics received a special gift, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a cherished moment to take home.
