Want to spark curiosity and wonder with your kids? Try a genealogy project—a magical journey into where you came from! 🌍💫

This week, I shared with my son that he comes from a long line of fishermen 🎣 who came all the way from Norway 🇳🇴 and settled near the Great Lakes in Michigan 🌊. His eyes lit up knowing fishing isn’t just a hobby… it’s a part of who he is!

Projects like these help kids see the magic in their own story—threads of history, family, and tradition woven together like a beautiful potion. 🧪✨

This past week, we said goodbye to my Grandpa, who blessed our lives for 96 wonderful years. ❤️It was the first close loss for my children, and with that came big feelings and tender questions.

Sometimes, the simplest stories help the most. The children’s book “No Matter What” gave us words when ours were hard to find—reminding us that love doesn’t fade when someone is gone.

“We may be close, we may be far, but our love still surrounds us…wherever we are.” ❤️

We will carry his love with us, always.

Do you ever wonder what Madame Mixie’s favorite book was as a child? 📚✨
Well, it was Panda Bear’s Paintbox! 🎨🐼 My favorite part was the very end—when Panda Bear’s mama makes him take a bath to wash off all the paint, and you can see the rainbow swirls going down the drain in the pink bathtub. 🌈🛁

Funny thing is… when I grew up, I became an artist! 💜 I guess those rainbow swirls never really left me. 😉

The start of school is an exciting adventure, but sometimes it can feel a teensy bit wobbly. If your little ones need a dash of comfort, I recommend reading The Kissing Hand! 💕 This magical story gives hearts the bravery they need to shine bright on new beginnings.

🌱✨ What a magical garden experiment it’s been this year! ✨🌱

From a handful of free seeds I picked up at the library, I’ve been able to create the most delicious treats straight from my own backyard — fresh pico de gallo, bruschetta, green beans, pesto, margherita pizza, and even homemade pickles! 🍅🥒🌿

It’s been such a fun (and tasty!) adventure, and the best part is sharing the experience with the kids. 👩‍🍳💚 I highly recommend trying a little garden-to-table project at home — you never know what you’ll grow!
