The fight against breast cancer is personal for many, including Indianapolis Colts Wide Receiver Alec Pierce.

He shares his story about how his mother's diagnosis impacted him and why he uses his platform to advocate for women's health. As Alec says, "The greatest way to advocate... is just being able to use my platform."

We're proud to partner with Alec Pierce and the Colts to share this message and encourage women to get their mammogram!

Please join us in congratulating Teri Larimore, one of our respiratory therapists, for receiving the BEE Award!

Teri was nominated by a NICU family, "Teri visited our baby every day, whether or not we were her assigned patient, and even after we no longer needed respiratory support, she continued to check in during each of her shifts. She not only provided exceptional care as an RT, but also became a dear friend to our family."

Thank you, Teri! 🐝

Congratulations, Lexy Doyle, one of our NICU nurses, for receiving the DAISY Award!

Lexy was nominated by a colleague for her commitment to not only her patients but their families during some of the most challenging times, saying, "With compassion, grace, and extraordinary strength, she created a peaceful, beautiful bereavement experience for the grieving parents. She was there physically, emotionally, and wholeheartedly for them—offering comfort on what was likely the worst day of their lives."

Thank you for going above and beyond to offer care and compassion to our patients! 🌼

“You really can’t tell who’s giving and who’s receiving.”

As we celebrate Mission Week, our theme is Rising With Hope. 💛

Loraine Brown, Chief Mission Integration Officer, Ascension Indiana, reminds us that putting love and holiness at the center of our actions brings a distinct sense of peace.

Let this reflection guide us as we serve our communities this week and throughout the year!

At Ascension St. Vincent, healing means more than just treatment. Our integrated women’s health boutiques in Carmel and the Women and Infants Hospital are designed to support every stage of a woman's journey.

What makes them unique? The people! Associates like Maureen and Jessica are often survivors themselves. They walk alongside each woman with empathy, offering:

🌸 Wigs and head coverings
🌸 Post-surgical garments and mastectomy supplies
🌸 Maternity, lactation, and comfort essentials

This Mission Week, we’re proud to offer resources that honor the dignity of every person we serve—caring for the body, spirit, and self. 💙

This Spiritual Care Week, Chaplain Jennifer Prior shares how a curling iron and a few shared stories honored a patient who wasn’t feeling like herself.
