Hi there, fellow adult children of autistic parents! Here's a video invitation to join us next week for a special event, After the "Aha!" An Online Workshop. I'll walk you through common changes that accompany the discovery one or both of your parents is autistics--perceptual changes, emotional changes, & relational changes (it's a lot!). I'll also share tips for how to navigate all of this change and take care of yourself along the way.

See link in comments for registration info. Hope to see you there!

I'm excited to be expanding support for Adult Children of Autistic Parents (ACAPs). More and more of us are recognizing this unique dynamic in our families and are eager to re-orient ourselves, but we're left with next to zero resources to help us find our way. That's why I'm dedicated to bringing us together in a variety of ways, so that we can develop shared wisdom and connection that carries us forward in our journeys.

Join me for "After the Aha!", an online workshop event where I'll share frameworks and tips for navigating the journey that comes after your discovery that your parent is autistic.

Neurodiverse Love is hosting a virtual conference March 6-8!

There will be 25 recorded presentations available for you to view on a variety of topics related to neurodiverse/mixed-neurotype couples. I attended this virtual conference 2 years ago and there was a wealth of super helpful content available from a diversity of presenters.

I'm honored to be among those who are contributing this year, my presentation is "Adult Children of (Undiagnosed) Autistic Parents: Increasing Visibility & Understanding". I'm sharing from both my lived experience and my professional experience facilitating a monthly support group (as well as in my work with clients).

You can join the conference at a $50 discount by using my code: Laurie50. This gives you access to lots of great learning material or just $47 (and I receive a portion of your registration fee as compensation for my presentation).

"Where in your relationships can you name the meaning you are making? Where can ask others to name the meaning they are making?"

Join me and host of "Stories Lived. Stories Told", Abbie VanMeter for a conversation about communication in neurodiverse relationships--about the stories we tell ourselves and our partners, about the stories the world gives us permission to tell about our brains and our relationships, about the meaning we make out of loving across neurological differences.

Help needed! Can you give a few minutes of your time to fill out a brief survey regarding your experiences working with adults who are considering autism formal diagnosis and/or autism self-diagnosis?
I'm working on a project in collaboration with a psychology masters degree student where we are creating a (free!) resource for adults who want to better understand their options. It will include an FAQ section (which this survey will help us create) along with sections on self-screenings, resources for learning about autism, and tips for talking to friends/family about your process.

Here's the link:

Please let me know if you run into any tech issues or if you have feedback about the survey that you want to share with me.
Thank you in advance! We appreciate your input πŸ™‚.
