Loss can show up in a lot of different ways, and it doesn’t always look the same for everyone.

If you’ve been feeling a little heavier lately, you’re not alone. It’s okay to take things one day at a time, to give yourself space, and to lean on the people around you.

Check in on your friends. Be kind to yourself. 💚

We need YOUR help! We are thinking of creating, “Pause Packs”. (We aren’t 100% on that name, so if you have other ideas we’re open!)

These little packs would include things like,
Fidgets
Sour spray/candy(sensory reset)
Grounding items
Positive affirmations
Instant ice packs

We are looking for other ideas for what would be great in the kits!

The purpose of these is to help when you’re upset, overwhelmed, overstimulated, nervous, etc.

Let us know what you’re thinking! 🤔☺️

Prevention Advocacy Day 2026 ✅

Today, 11 of our group members — along with several members of our ZRW Community Council — had the incredible opportunity to attend Prevention Advocacy Day at the Kansas State Capitol!

Our teens met with multiple State Legislators and Representatives and used their voices to speak boldly about su***de prevention and mental health awareness from a teen perspective. They shared their experiences, their passion, and the changes they hope to see in our communities. Watching them advocate so confidently for something that matters so deeply was truly inspiring.

They also connected with other teens from ZRW and fellow mental health and su***de prevention groups who are just as passionate about this mission.

I am beyond proud of our Mustangs — and every teen who showed up and spoke out today. Your voices matter more than you know.

✨Bonus! They got to take a photo with our Governor, Laura Kelly!

A huge thank you to Georgie and Fernanda with ZRW, as well as the Legislators and Representatives who made this opportunity possible. It was an amazing day!

THANK YOU!!!! ….to everyone who supported us tonight purchasing Chili & Cinnamon Rolls!! Big shoutout to Jana Taylor and our local G&W for the food!! We sold over 150 cinnamon rolls and too many bowls of Chili to count!! We appreciate everyone so much! Getting this group started and off the ground has been difficult, but we are making headway and will continue to advocate for mental health and su***de awareness! 💚💚

We are gearing up for Advocacy Day 2026!!

The students can’t wait to talk to Kansas Representatives, Legislators and Senators about the importance of Prevention and Mental Health!

Advocacy Day allows students to use their voices and be heard!

If you were speaking up for change, what’s something you would tell our State leaders to make a change, and bring prevention and awareness to mental health and su***de?!
