Relief After Violent Encounter, Ionia/Montcalm, Inc. (RAVE I/M) provides free and confidential support services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Ionia and Montcalm counties.

These services include: 24/7 emergency shelter and crisis line, emergency response program, domestic violence counseling, sexual assault therapy, children's counseling, legal advocacy, outreach events and presentations, and more.

November is Native American Heritage Month

Together we celebrate the culture, history, and significance of America's indigenous peoples.

We also want to raise awareness about the Uniting Three Fires Against Violence in Michigan and the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center, Inc (NIWRC).

The Uniting Three Fires Against Violence in Michigan is a statewide tribal domestic violence and sexual assault coalition serving the Tribes located in Michigan.

The NIWRC is a Native-led nonprofit organization with the mission to end violence against Native women, children, and communities.

✨PENNY WAR✨

The annual penny war of The Montcalm Area Career Center - The MACC has kicked off and goes till Friday (11/14). Each year, organizations are nominated and voted on by students, This year, the students chose RAVE to be the recipient! We are so grateful to the students who nominated and voted for us.

Now, they need your help! Every year, the Public Safety class allows RAVE to come in and present to the students about our organization for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. So, we are seeing if anyone in the community would love to help out their class win the penny war. Proceeds go towards supporting survivors, and the winning class gets a pizza party🍕

Pennies/coins and checks are accepted! If you have any questions or are interested in contributing towards the penny war, please reach out to our Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, Alexis (alexist@raveim.org), for more information.
