Louise Pinkerton, SLPrano SLP with a high C. I'm a speech-language pathologist, singing voice specialist, vocologist, soprano, International ELF award, and a teaching assistantship.

Louise Pinkerton, speech-language pathologist, is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Iowa. She specializes in voice and upper airway disorders, transgender communication and performance voice rehabilitation. She has advanced training in performance voice rehabilitation and CCM styles, including a vocology certificate through the National Center for Voice and Speech. Her SLP internships were at the Lions Voice Clinic--University of Minnesota, and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Voice Clinic. Louise taught voice at the University of North Dakota and Minnesota State University Moorhead and has presented at the International Voice Foundation Symposium and national conferences of NATS, Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity and the National Federation of Music Clubs. Louise performed regionally, with international young artist programs and was a two-time regional finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She earned additional awards from NFMC, Music Teachers National Association, NATS and SAI. During her studies at Iowa, Louise was the recipient of a prestigious ASHFoundation Graduate Award, P.E.O. Her degrees are University of Iowa (MA-SLP), University of North Dakota (MM), and Indiana University (BM, BS).
