We’re so glad our campers got to make one last stop at Molly’s Cupcakes last week — each visit brought big smiles, bigger sprinkles, and cupcakes piled high with frosting! 🧁✨

Huge thanks to Jamie and the amazing Molly’s crew for the fun visits, delicious treats, and warm welcomes. You’ve been a highlight of our summers, and we’re so grateful for all the sweet memories.

❤️ Creativity has been flowing like a wild stream this week.

Hours worth of creating kindness cards. For each other, family, friends, & strangers. Not wanting to transition to the next activity because they were too invested.

Self-initiated board game tournaments. Inclusive, yet competitive. Collectively agreeing players shake hands at the end. No matter what.

Creating their own adventure. After hearing other GoldCap camps had instructor led scavenger hunts, they took advantage of a small pocket of unstructured time.

When the world around us is chaotic, scary, unpredictable, & Mother Nature tests our self-regulation skills…take the time to Breathe & Bloom ❤️

Thinking about the 🌟 Downtown Iowa City Block Party, but need a spot for your kids? 🎈OR want to hit the downtown fun and have something 💯 lined up for them too? GoldCap has you covered.

We’re planning drop-off kids programming during the Downtown Iowa City Block Party on Saturday, June 28—and we’re gauging interest before making it official!

We’ll be based at MERGE, just steps from the action, with a mix of:
– Supervised Kid-friendly Block Party fun (mini-golf, Pedal go-karts, mural painting, rollerskating, hula hooping, Photo Booth, & more!)
– Indoor games, crafts, and chill time @ MERGE
– And of course... pizza from Camp Iowa City 🍕

👧 Ages: 5–11
🕓 Time blocks: 4–6 PM, 6–8 PM (or both!)
💰 $30 for the first kid, $20 for siblings

Students will stretch🙆🏻, move💨, and create 🎨! This camp includes collaborations with & .linguae 🫶🏼

From yoga poses 🧘‍♂️to nature adventures 💐, campers will embrace a slower pace and periods of mindful body connections.
