I'm an Assistant Professor at UW-Stout, teaching both undergraduate and graduate students in the HDFS Department/MFT Program. I absolutely love it! I believe that my educational experiences at Iowa helped me prepare for this job in several ways. To start, the University's College of Education's emphasis on teaching excellence really helped me prepare to be a leader in the classroom and motivate young learners. The Ph.D. Couple and Family Therapy Program was outstanding in the sense that it prepared me for the job market, interviews, and set me on a path to becoming a supervisor and researcher. As a student, I was both supported and challenged by the faculty in the larger department. I believe my education and preparation at a top notch institution and program has helped make the transition easier into my first semester as a faculty member. Go Hawks.
