THE SOLFEGGIO TONES; DO RE MI FA SO LA TI DO
The original Solfeggio scale was developed by Guido d'Arezzo, an Italian monk. They are a series of six musical tones that the Gregorian monks incorporated into their sacred music following the fall of Rome in the fourth century. These 6 notes were the basis of a hymn to St. John the Baptist. In the 11th century, Guido published a book about music theory which became the standard for centuries.
If you are a musician, you may have heard the term “Solfeggio” before in reference to musical intervals.
For Centuries these tones were lost to us. Then the discovery of the Gregorian Chant named, "The Great Hymn to St. John the Baptist" gave us the name of each note.
Each note began a phrase in the hymn:
UT quent laxis
RE sonare fibris
MI ra gestorum
FA muli Tuorum
SO Lve polluti
LA bili reatum
When we say “Do Re Me….” In singing, it’s the solfeggio scale.
Solfeggio is based on a natural system of tuning called Pythagorean tuning.
In the scale with notes C D E F G A B – they correspond to Do Re Mi Fa So, La Si or Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Ut.
The chants and their special tones were believed to impart spiritual blessings when sung in harmony during religious masses.
These frequencies are said to have many psychological, emotional, spiritual and physical healing benefits.
However, THE CHANT WAS SAID TO HAVE BEEN LOST WHEN POPE GREGORY I BANNED IT FROM BEING SUNG IN CHURCH SERVICES BECAUSE IT WAS CONSIDERED TOO SACRED FOR COMMON USE BY THE CHURCH CONGREGATION!
The frequency pattern has since been rediscovered after being lost for 1500 years.
These original sound frequencies were rediscovered by Dr. Joseph Puleo using a numerological technique. Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz shared the rediscovery in his book, “Healing Codes for the Biological Apocalypse.” The book describes how Puleo found a pattern of six repeating codes in the Book of Numbers, Chapter 7 versus 12 through 83. When deciphered using the ancient Pythagorean method of reducing the verse numbers to their single digit integers, the codes revealed a series of six sound frequencies that correspond to the six missing tones of the ancient Solfeggio scale.
The codes revealed a repeating pattern of 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, and 852- the 6 electromagnetic sound frequencies of the original solfeggio scale.
Dr. Leonard Horowitz uncovered three more solfeggio frequencies. These frequencies like the original six frequencies also have great healing potential. Those missing frequencies (174 Hz, 285 Hz, and 963 Hz) were added to the original six so that we now have nine solfeggio frequencies.
They can be used for healing deep emotional issues. Each solfeggio tune is based on a frequency believed to influence the subconscious and conscious mind, balance your energy and stimulate healing with the Universe.
Many believe that the Solfeggio frequencies align you with the rhythms and tones that form the basis of the Universe.
How do solfeggio tones effect your DNA and cells?
Researchers have shown that the ancient Solfeggio frequencies produce a positive effect on your DNA. These tones are also said to have a direct effect on your cells, and brain.
Many are known as “miracle” frequencies because they directly affect the healthy function of your DNA. It has been shown that DNA can be repaired through sound and vibration, but only specific frequencies will stimulate DNA repair. These frequencies are known as “solfeggio” tones and were used in ancient cultures to help heal physical ailments, balance emotional well-being, improve mental functioning, enhance spiritual growth and more.
For example, there is evidence that the 528 Hz frequency can repair damaged DNA and bring back the natural design of your cells. The 639 Hz frequency helps to connect and relate to other people in harmonious ways, while the 741 Hz frequency is believed to help with problem solving, and awakening intuition.
Other frequencies have been found to reduce anxiety, stress and pain.
So many people have been so deeply wounded that they cannot move beyond the pain and suffering until they learn how to access the higher vibrations that can help them to heal. The solfeggio tones can guide them to that because they are thought to deeply pe*****te the conscious and subconscious mind, stimulating inner healing.
Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Germany discovered that these specific frequencies are the most efficient and best way to break apart crystallized emotions and traumas. These emotions get trapped in our cells and can cause disease.
The solfeggio tones create the vibration necessary to break down these traumas and blockages, while activating our self-healing mechanisms.
Some people choose to listen to solfeggio tones during meditation or relaxation exercises. Combined with brainwave states, these solfeggio frequencies can be used for deep meditation, brainwave entrainment and positive affirmations. Some people use them for specific issues of healing, such as insomnia or headaches, or for clearing negative thoughts from their mind.
As a note, you can meditate while listening to these tones, but you don't have to. They will still have a positive effect on your body regardless of whether you meditate or not.
It is also interesting to know that many assign a chakra to a solfeggio tone when, in fact, all the solfeggio tones help all the chakras.
To wrap it up, the Solfeggio frequencies are said to have many spiritual and psychological healing benefits, such as: helping calm your body and mind; enabling you to experience inner peace; relieving you from stress, depression, fear and anxiety; increasing your ability to stay focused; promoting a feeling of love and well-being; relieving pain; helping sleep more soundly and more deeply; purifying your mind, body, and spirit.
