As we approach the end of Medical Assistant Week, we wanted to give a shout-out to our MA team! Thank you for taking care of our patients and being an important part of the Steindler team!

Steindler is excited to welcome Evan Heer, PA-C to the team! Evan attended Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa for his bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in writing. He also completed paramedic certification at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Evan then traveled to Billings, Montana to earn his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Rocky Mountain College.

In his free time, Evan enjoys spending time with his family, going for walks with his golden retriever, playing guitar, fishing, cooking, and traveling.

October 6th is National Physician Assistant Day! Whether they're helping out in surgery, seeing patients in the clinic, or tending to an urgent care injury, we'd like to thank our physician assistants for all their hard work!

Since Wednesday is hump day, we thought we'd share what Andrew is up to!

If you haven't met him, Andrew is one of our medical assistants at Steindler. He hasn't been around the clinic recently because he is in the U.S. Army Reserve and is currently deployed in the Middle East. Even on the other side of the world, he's still representing Steindler!

The Patient Experience Manager drives the complete patient experience by leading, analyzing, reporting, implementing, and evaluating targeted experience improvement initiatives.

Certified Medical Assistants work with our providers to care for our patients during and after their visit to our clinic.

We are happy to welcome Laura Wood to the Steindler team! Laura is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and she will be working alongside our physician assistants to care for our patients!

She attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville for her bachelor’s degree in biology. Laura came to Iowa and attended Kirkwood Community College for her associate’s degree in nursing, and then Allen College in Waterloo for her master of science in nursing.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, running, hiking, playing guitar, and traveling!

Happy Juneteenth! Juneteenth commemorates when slavery finally ended in the United States in 1865. It just became a federal holiday last year!
