Another member of our ASC team we'd like to introduce is our nurse manager, Jesse! Jesse received his bachelors, masters, and PhD from the University of Iowa. He has had past roles as an RN, house operations manager, nursing instructor, and program manager. Jesse is originally from New Jersey and lives with his wife and dog.

For the final week of National ASC Month, we'd like to introduce the people overseeing our surgery center day-to-day! Kathy joined the Steindler team in 2022 and served a key role in the development of the Steindler Surgery Center. She brings over 30 years of specialized nursing experience to our team. Kathy is originally from Lone Tree, Iowa, and has a large family, including seven grandchildren!

August is National Ambulatory Surgery Center month! We have recognized the patient benefits of ambulatory surgery centers for many years, which is why we opened our own. Steindler Surgery Center specializes in outpatient orthopedic procedures, including total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, lumbar fusions, and foot/ankle surgeries. Hospital-level equipment meets the Steindler quality of care you've come to expect!

We are excited to share that the Steindler Surgery Center has completed the first of many outpatient anterior hip replacements in our new facility. The surgery was performed by Dr. Derek Breder, one of Steindler Orthopedic's joint replacement specialists.

We now offer outpatient hip and knee replacement surgery at our newly constructed, state of the art facility. This allows our patients to go home the same day as their surgery, save money, and get right into their recovery process while avoiding the risks associated with a hospital stay.
