Grandma Jane's Playhouse We’re a nonprofit indoor play space for kids 0-7, offering a fun, safe place for families to connect. You can also book your next Birthday Party with us.

Our mission is to bring the community together through play, programs and events. Grandma Jane's Playhouse was created to encourage PLAY for young children, build community & support families as they experience parenting together. It is a combination of wonderful play environment for children to explore and a party venue for birthday parties or special events. In addition to the play area there will be seating for adults, and coffee and snacks can be purchased at the snack bar. We are a SHOES-OFF - SOCKS ON facility and require all children and adults to wear socks while playing.

We’re putting together 25 small gift bags for the veterans at Scenic Manor and would love donations of snacks, chapsticks, lotion, or word-search books by Nov 10.

💛 A Message from the Director of Grandma Jane’s Playhouse

Hello Playhouse families and friends! 👋

My name is Katie Watts, and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as the Director of Grandma Jane’s Playhouse. I stepped into this role a few months ago, and I know there’s been a little confusion surrounding the transition — so I wanted to personally share an update and help clear things up.

Grandma Jane’s Playhouse continues to operate as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which means we’re not a privately owned business — we exist to serve our community. Every dollar from memberships, play passes, parties, and donations goes directly back into the Playhouse to help us provide a safe, affordable, and engaging place for children and their caregivers.

As Director, my goal is to continue the heart and mission that Grandma Jane’s Playhouse was built on — creating a welcoming space where children can play, learn, and grow through imagination, and where parents and caregivers can connect and find community.

A little bit about me — I’m a proud mom to a busy and curious 2-year-old boy. My family and I live right here in Iowa Falls, and when I’m not at the Playhouse, I enjoy reading, crafting, and spending time playing and exploring with my son. I’ve always had a passion for early childhood development and community connection, which makes this role truly special to me.

The past few months have been filled with laughter, learning, and so many wonderful moments with families who come through our doors. I’m so grateful for the warm welcome and continued support from our community — your visits, memberships, and donations truly make it possible for us to keep doing what we do.

If you ever have questions, ideas, or just want to say hello, please don’t hesitate to stop by or send a message. I look forward to meeting more of you and continuing to grow together as a community that believes in the power of play.

Slip into your coziest pajamas and join us for a night of spook-tacular fun!

Kids will enjoy:
👻 A Build-Your-Own Trail Mix Station with sweet & crunchy add-ins
🖍️ Halloween-themed crafts to take home
🍪 A variety of spooky (but kid-friendly) snacks
🎶 Open play, music, and festive photo spots

This event is designed for little ones (ages 0–7) and their caregivers—perfect for making Halloween memories in a safe, playful, and not-too-scary space.
