I make no apologies for repeating this message
If you see a bee of any description on the floor or not flying other than on a flowering plant, it is STARVING! You can help.
We are currently well into the 'June Gap' - the time between when the Spring flowering plants stop and the Autumn flowers start producing pollen and nectar.
You can help by mixing two parts sugar to one part water and offering the syrup to the bee. She (and they are mostly ladies) will happily drink from a teaspoon. You'll see her little black tongue as she drinks. It will take about 10 minutes for her to convert the syrup to energy, but she will fly away if you've helped her in time. The feeling you get on seeing her recovery and flight is well worth your time.
PLEASE NOTE - This is a temporary measure and 'First Aid' only. The Bees need diversity in their diet and need to pollinate plants in their search for food. I'm not suggesting we feed sugar to Bees as a regular thing.
NO HONEY PLEASE - Disease can be spread easily from colony to colony through this practice and you will do more damage than good. White sugar and water only please x
They can't thank you, so I will on their behalf.
Thanks a million xx

A legend. A hero. The heart of America

In this deeply emotional image, we see 92-year-old country music icon Willie Nelson covering his face with both hands, his eyes welling with tears. Just moments before, the crowd had given him an eight-minute standing ovation — a thunderous roar of love, gratitude, and respect for a lifetime spent giving the world his music and soul.

Willie couldn’t speak. He stood silently in front of the microphone, clutching his worn-out guitar — a guitar that’s seen more stages than most people see sunsets — and quietly broke down.

His hands, the same ones that crafted songs to heal broken hearts, now trembled over eyes full of emotion.

“I didn’t think anyone still wanted to hear me,” he whispered through tears, while tens of thousands chanted back:

“Forever, Willie!”

In that moment, time stopped. This wasn’t just a concert. It was a farewell to an era, a standing ovation for a man who gave generations comfort, truth, and timeless melodies.

This photo isn’t just emotion — it’s history.

It’s a moment when the world stood still to say:

“Thank you, Willie. Thank you for giving us everything, and never asking for anything in return.”

And as he stood there, tears falling beneath his hat, we knew we were witnessing more than a musician.

We were looking at a living legend.

We were looking at the soul of America.
