Hi there and welcome to my page!
My name is Dr. Sam, I’m a Naturopathic Doctor and owner here at Trillium. I focus on Women’s health with a special passion for maternal health – with an expertise in preconception, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood.
I worked as a birth and loss doula during my 5 years in Medical school school and then as a family medicine doctor in residency and I saw how abysmal the holistic healthcare was for women on the Motherhood journey (especially postpartum!)
Now, I help women prepare for pregnancy and heal optimally after giving birth and maintain (or restore) their health all throughout Motherhood.
The tools that I use with patients range widely but are all oriented towards treating the root-cause and are completely individualized. From nutrition and herbalism, to somatic work and counseling to bodywork and pelvic floor therapy, homeopathy, lifestyle and targeted supplementation- I have many tools to support you.
Your preferences and intuition are important to me and inform our journey together.
I strongly believe, in the most obvious and subtle ways, that better healthcare for Women and Mothers means healthier families, communities, ecosystems and ultimately a healthier planet.
I offer 4 different packages depending on where you are at in your journey and home visits for holistic postpartum care- I seek to not only help women restore health and vitality, but to be proactive in protecting and preserving it.
In addition to my clinical work as a doctor, I believe community is the missing piece for so many women and mothers in finding meaning and wellness- so I facilitate community gatherings and support groups- one of them being MotherCircle- a profound 8 week program designed by Kimberly Ann Johnson to build culture and connection for Mothers and Mothers to be.
***I took a month break from social media over the holidays and it was so frickin good I decided to stay off it (as much as possible) as I feel it interrupts my daily flow and presence (and likely does yours, too!) but I will pop on here occasionally to share information, offerings and updates. If you’d like to stay more connected with me and how I share, please sign up for my email newsletter for my monthly musings and an occasional overly detailed blog post.
Lovely to be connected with you in some way on this journey.
