A Seal of Fire, Salt, and Spirit
What You’ll Need
1 white candle for divine protection
1 black candle for banishing harm
Sea salt
A bowl of water
A handful of dirt from your yard if possible
Garlic powder or cloves
Bay leaves
Optional protective oil van van, banishing, or court case oil
Step 1 Claim the Land
Stand at your front door holding the dirt from your yard.
Say
This land knows my name.
This home knows my spirit.
What stands in shadow must stand outside my gate.
I claim peace here. I claim safety here.
Only what is sent in love may enter.
Sprinkle the dirt back onto your land near your doorway.
Step 2 Make the Protection Water
In the bowl, mix:
Water
A pinch of salt
Crushed bay leaf
Garlic
Stir clockwise and say
Salt to seal.
Garlic to guard.
Bay to bless.
Water carry my word to every wall and every corner.
Light the white candle.
Step 3 Seal the Doorways & Windows
Dip your fingers into the bowl and lightly mark
Every door
Every window
Mirrors lightly
As you do, say
Nothing harmful may cross this line.
No ill will may root in this ground.
What comes against me turns back now.
Then light the black candle and say
Any work sent against this home
Break.
Fall.
Return to dust.
Let both candles burn safely for at least 20 minutes.
Step 4: Walk the Perimeter Very Powerful
Take a small bowl of salt outside.
Walk your property line clockwise sprinkling lightly and say
I seal this boundary in light unseen.
I post guardians at every corner.
What is not for my highest good cannot step here.
If you feel called, place a bay leaf at each corner of your property.
Final Words to Close
Stand in the center of your home and say
This house is covered.
This land is guarded.
Peace sits at my table.
Protection stands at my door.
So it is. So it stays.

Mercury Retrograde in Pisces

Begins February 25th, 2026 at 10:48 PM Pacific Time

Mercury retrograde always gets blamed for everything from lost emails to existential crises, but technically it is just a period when the planet of cognition, communication, logistics, and interpretation appears to move backward from Earth’s perspective. When Mercury slows down, your mental processing slows with it. Not in intelligence, but in linearity. Plans unravel. Messages blur. The tidy narrative you thought you were living inside begins to feel… porous. Retrogrades are not punishments. They are edits. They return you to something unfinished.

Now put that in Pisces.

Mercury is not particularly comfortable in Pisces. Pisces is mutable water. It does not move in straight lines. It dissolves, absorbs, empathizes, imagines, remembers, dreams. If Mercury likes bullet points, Pisces prefers watercolor. If Mercury likes spreadsheets, Pisces hands you a song. So when Mercury retrogrades here, you get what I lovingly call fish brain energy. Thoughts drift. Conversations trail off mid sentence. You walk into rooms and forget why. Boundaries between your feelings and everyone else’s feelings get thin. The question is “What is the feeling underneath the facts?”

This is the first major contact, and it is soft. Mercury retrograde meets Venus in Pisces, and suddenly the mind wants romance, nostalgia, reconciliation, poetry. Old lovers may text. Old art projects may resurface. You may re-read conversations and realize you misinterpreted tone. This is less about technical correction and more about emotional reinterpretation. Pisces forgives easily, sometimes too easily. Be careful not to rewrite history in rose-colored ink. What you need

A small glass bottle or jar with a lid

Soil from a place that feels old, quiet, or familiar

A pinch of salt

Dried rosemary or mugwort or both

A small stone or crystal

Black thread or twine

No fancy supplies. No drama. Dark witches don’t need glitter to be powerful.

How to make it

Add the soil first. This is your anchor. Everything rests on it.

Sprinkle in the salt. Not protection. Stability.

Add the herb slowly, with intention, not theatrics.

Place the stone inside. This is weight. Presence.
Reality.

Close the bottle and wrap it with black thread until it feels “done.”
