Wondering how to treat dry skin? This common issue can be treated in a number of ways. Bathing or showering less often can help the skin retain its natural moisture and oils, and when you do shower, use warm water, not hot. Using ointments, lotions, or creams that keep the skin moisturized is also beneficial. If your dry skin does not improve with home remedies, or if it appears to be infected, book an appointment with a dermatologist! https://bit.ly/3zp8hFZ

Can stress cause acne? Yes and no. Stress cannot cause acne unless you are already predisposed to it. When your fight-or-flight response is activated, the body releases stress hormones, which increase your skin’s oil production, which can exacerbate acne. Learning how to reduce your stress can be an important tool in the treatment of your acne. A few simple steps to try and relieve stress are: taking a few deep breaths, practicing meditation, getting a full night’s sleep, eating healthy and exercising regularly, and even talking about your stress to a friend, family member, or counselor.
Comment below some of your favorite ways to de-stress. ⬇️

We all know staying hydrated is important, but do you know how it affects your skin? One of the most important things you can do for your skin’s health and appearance is to drink enough water!💧When the outermost layer of your skin does not get enough moisture, it will lose elasticity and feel rough. Staying hydrated will rejuvenate your skin so it looks and feels soft, and who doesn't want that?
If drinking enough water isn't your strong suit, there are a few other ways to keep your skin hydrated: use a moisturizer, eat foods rich in essential fatty acids (like salmon, olive oil, walnuts, and pumpkin seeds), use warm water for bathing & showering rather than hot water, and turn down the air-conditioner & furnace.
