As you prepare for the upcoming Fall semester, know that we are here to provide trauma-informed mental health care in West TN. We offer a variety of services in the office including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) on a farm nearby.

Trying something NEW!

You are invited to a paint night on the farm on Friday, May 9th at 5:30 p.m. This outdoor art class will be held in Medina, TN and taught by a talented artist and horsewoman, Jenny Lawrence.

You will have a chance to meet the horses and our team, and profit from this event will allow the residents of Scarlet Rope Project to receive Equine Assisted Psychotherapy throughout the year❤

Please note: This particular event is NOT therapy, but instead, it is intended to be a time of creativity, connection and fun! If you wish to meet the horses, please remember to wear closed toe shoes. We hope to see you on the farm soon!

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a powerful treatment option for many, including men!

Due to limited access to mental health resources, the stigma associated with seeking mental health services often discourages men from seeking help when they need it most. This stigma, combined with societal expectations for men to "be strong" and difficulty in expressing emotions, creates additional barriers.

Engaging in therapy sessions with a horse, outside the traditional clinical setting and alongside a mental health professional, can help men express and process their emotions in a way that feels natural and organic.

Horses offer a unique, safe space for nonverbal communication of feelings, facilitating emotional breakthroughs.
