Honey Tongued (Double IPA / 8.5% ABV) was brewed w/ almost 100 lbs of local honey from our friends at Steller Apiaries here in Jackson, Michigan. Roughly 6000 bee’s were on the job for this batch alone!

Fun Fact: Did you know the beeswax inside the hive also has trace amount of anti bacterial properties? Beeswax molecules are exceptionally unique and versatile in when you burn it in a candle, it helps purify the air around you and It’s all completely edible, too! When you eat it, it can help seal the weak spots on n your enamel, preventing cavities and stains! You can also eat the honey and beeswax together straight out of the hive!

How to be successful as a beekeeper:
build your bees their home, keep their needs in mind but stay clear of langstroth and Lang adapted hives as they are just too big and drafty for Michigan, not to mention all those frames in the way of comb construction. Next catch a swarm and introduce them to their new home. Let them be bees and you go be a human. Success! This is our 13th year as alternative beekeepers and we have proved all the naysayers wrong bees can live, even thrive in top bar hives here in Michigan, we have proven year after year that you don’t need medications or chemicals to keep bees. The proof is in the pudding we have a 80% success rate when the national average with commercial operations are dismal in the 20% survivability rate SMH. We humans need to solve the problems not make more capital!
