Congratulations to the McNairy Central Lady Bobcats, TSSAA D1 3A State Runners-Up!

Morgan Hays, ATC/L, proudly provided sports medicine coverage to McNairy Central High School throughout the five-day state softball tournament. Through long days, rain delays, and rescheduled games, Morgan was there supporting both McNairy Central and Crockett County High School athletes every step of the way.

Congratulations to these outstanding young ladies on an incredible season, and thank you, Morgan Hays, for your dedication and commitment to student-athlete care!

We enjoyed having Lexington native Elijah Ujcich complete his final clinical rotation with us at Sports Plus Lexington!

Elijah recently graduated from the The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and will soon be joining our Sports Plus North team. We are excited to welcome him to the Sports Plus family and look forward to all he will bring to our patients and community!

A special thank you to fellow UT alumnus Hunter Brown for serving as Elijah’s clinical instructor and helping guide him through this important step in his professional journey.

May is National Stroke Awareness Month, a campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the prevention, signs, and treatment of strokes. Because up to 80% of strokes are preventable, the month emphasizes understanding risk factors and knowing how to respond during a medical emergency.

The B.E. F.A.S.T. Warning Signs
Recognizing the symptoms of a stroke and calling 911 immediately is critical, as every minute counts:
B - Balance loss
E - Eye (vision) changes
F - Face drooping
A - Arm weakness
S - Speech difficulty
T - Time to call 911

Meet Megan Yochum, MS, CCC-SLP!
Megan was raised in Newbern, TN. She earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Murray State University and has a heart for working with children. She is passionate about helping pediatric patients find their voice and thrive in everyday communication. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her three pets, spending time outdoors, and enjoying quality time with loved ones.

Caroline and her husband, Jacob, live in Ripley with their baby girl, Anderson, and their 3 pets. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State University and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Mississippi in 2019. Caroline is passionate about working with children of all ages, but especially enjoys the birth to three population—helping parents start solids with their babies and develop their early language skills. When she isn’t working, she loves spending time with her family, reading, and doing puzzles.

Katie was born and raised in Friendship, Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from The University of Tennessee in 2023 and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Murray State University in 2025. Katie is passionate about helping people of all ages with communication and swallowing disorders, either in the outpatient or acute care setting. When she isn’t working, she loves spending time with her family and traveling.
