Oaklawn Hospital Uses Young Living Essential Oils

Recently, I had the privilege of visiting The Oaklawn Hospital Holistic Center in Marshall, Michigan. The center has been open just six months and has enjoyed a terrific response from the community. They are currently open three days a week and see between 30 and 35 patients each week. Growth is inevitable – and soon – as more and more people seek an alternative to treating their chronic health issues.

Martin Holmes, MD, of Oaklawn Medical Group-Albion is the Center’s medical director and Karla Anderson, RN, CNHP oversees the daily operations and treatments that come from nutritional therapists, massage therapists, naturopathic practitioners, and other practitioners of complementary treatments.

Why Natural Alternatives?
When asked what prompted Dr. Holmes interest in alternatives to mainstream medicine, he answered:

“I was compelled when I saw people who I didn’t know how to treat. I thought to myself, ‘There’s got to be something else.’
It’s just not in my nature to give up.”
He went on to say that most of the people coming to the center, are those who have failed to find help elsewhere. Dr. Holmes believes that physician’s treat, but God heals. He finds success in guiding the center’s patients to healing. He is emphatic that his purpose is healing – not just treating patients.

Healing with Young Living Essential Oils
Currently, the center uses Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils to strengthen the immune system of patients and treat specific health issues with aromatherapy and Raindrop Technique massage. Raindrop Technique combines the art of aromatherapy with the techniques of Vita Flex and massage in the application of essential oils to various areas of the body. It is designed to bring physical, mental, and emotional balance to the body.

Karla Anderson says her goal is to have all hospital departments educated on the use and benefits of Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. The antimicrobial properties of essential oils have been known for many centuries. Their use would be significantly beneficial in the oncology and obstetrics departments.

“My goal is to have all hospital departments educated on the use and benefits of essential oils!”
Dr. Holmes is excited about the results they are experiencing. He said, ”As a physician, if you see something working, you want to pursue it.” Then he mentioned a call he received from another Oaklawn physician. The doctor wanted to know what was going on at the Holistic Center. He said five of his patients were showing exponential improvements as a result of treatment received at the Holistic Center.

Karla Anderson and Dr. Holmes agreed, with evidence based research and continuing education, more and more hospitals will likely turn to natural alternatives like Young Living Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils.

Love seeing this! We are working on our doctors as we use our oils as our medicine! My Daughter and I have a lung doctor that has us use Dorado Azul as our inhalers for asthma!
