With overnight approved contacts, contact lens wearers still need to take them out one to two times a week. If contacts are not overnight approved they need to be removed every night.
Practicing better contact lens hygiene is very important for the health of your cornea, and preventing serious infections as the one in the video below.
Helpful Tips and Procedures for out CL wearers-
Wash hands before handling contacts
Use NEW solution every time contacts are put back in case
Change contact lens case every THREE months.
Wash CL case with solution, (water is Not sterile)
Change CL's as directed i.e. monthly change monthly, bi-weekly change every two weeks.
Do not use eye drops not meant for contact lenses.
Do not swim, shower, lake or hot tub in your contacts. (this water is not sterile)
Do Not sleep in your contacts.
