Jackson Medical Center sponsored the Volunteer Program for high school Juniors and Seniors in our area. Volunteers from JHS, JA , and Leroy participated this year.

Participants completed an application process with references to participate in the program. They rotated through Nursing Services, Emergency Room and Laboratory throughout their time at JMC.

Jackson Medical Center is proud to celebrate Emalee Thomas, recipient of the 2023 Gil McKenzie Scholarship, on her graduation from Coastal Alabama Community College with her Associate in Applied Science in Nursing (RN). Emalee graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Distinction, an achievement that reflects exceptional dedication, perseverance, and a passion for caring for others.

At Jackson Medical Center, we know that excellent healthcare begins with investing in education. Supporting students through opportunities like the Gil McKenzie Scholarship is one of the ways we help strengthen the future of healthcare in our community.
