One of the most common places people neglect to clean it their SINK! Especially if you have a garbage disposal, it’s important to keep your sink area clean! Afterall- most people put their dishes into their sink. Think of all the bacteria and leftover food. 😖
Best tips for a good sink cleaning? Cleaning out your drains with baking soda and vinegar can help eliminate odors, build up and fruit flies! Cleaning your garbage disposal with either hot water and soap and running for 10 seconds to create suds, or by using designated garbage disposal cleaning packs.
Around the faucet area and even behind it- even though it doesn’t look directly on the surface, food particles and every day dust and dirt collects!
A clean sink is a big staple in your kitchen and one that most people will notice first! 😄 Especially during summer time.

Sorry for the hiatus of posts- just getting over some family sickness.

Did you know that a half cup of vinegar in your laundry can help eliminate stains and odors in the first wash? And no- your clothes don’t come out smelling like vinegar! You can even wash with just white vinegar and no laundry detergent. Your clothes will also be super soft. Just make sure to wash on cold! One of my favorite laundry hacks that doesn’t leave my clothes feeling oily or built up! Especially in a house hold with pets and toddlers where accidents are bound to happen.

Smart tip: Keep a bucket of water next to your station to submerge defused fireworks just to be sure there’s no secondary adverse reactions after (it happens!!!)

We’re staying in the hot months now which means our trash cans need a little extra TLC! This goes for indoor and outdoor cans. Remember to wash your trash bin weekly to prevent maggots, unwanted critters, bacteria and unpleasant odor from lingering near your home! 🥰
Not sure what to clean your can with? Just some simple dish soap and a scrub brush or an old broom will do! Make sure to leave the lid open and allow the can to fully dry before closing it back up to prevent moisture and mold from growing.
For indoor cans- you can use dish soap and water OR distilled white vinegar and baking soda!

Fact of the week: Did you know that there actually IS a correct way to mop!? Depending on the floor type (typically wood) you would want to mop along the grain, not against it. This prevents streaking and helps to remove a higher percentage of dirt and grime build up! 😊 You should also be mopping until the water comes clear.
