Every year Ms. Shelly visits Northwest High School during their annual homecoming week. One of the days this year was " Twin Day" and according to reports, from annonymous sources, an agreement over whether they would be U of M or MSU twins resulted in the idea that they go as "Fraternal Twins"😊 - Social Media Team

Operation Good Cheer! - the planes were grounded this year so all the presents came by truck. Family Service and Children's Aid staff (Breakout included) unloaded presents that are on their way to foster children in Jackson County. It is an annual tradition that even Covid couldn't stop.
On behalf of the Breakout Program, I offer prayers and support for the family of Bennie Poole. He provided years of music enjoyment for the people of Jackson. He will be missed but his music and legend will live on in our hearts forever - Shelly Milligan, Program Coordinator
The Blazer is saddened to learn Benny Poole has passed away today.
A Jackson Legend has Transitioned: The Great Benny Poole
1929-2020.
Benny Poole, a great saxophonist whose career as a musician began in the 1940's.
"Jackson has lost a historical figure and a trailblazer unparalleled. He bridged the gap between the white and black community like no one has done before or after. He would connect with the Mayor, Pat Patrick , Les Stanford, Roger Penske and children at the King Center all in the same day, all with the same level of attention. There will never be another Benny Poole, we must keep his memory alive." -(Pastor Lee Hampton, as well as Vice President of Jackson College)
Benny Poole will be missed through and through by the Jackson Community.
