As I edited this families gallery, I was overwhelmed with gratitude.

They were one of my very first clients when I moved to NC years ago, and have continued to work with me several times. This is the case with so many of my clients, so I wanted to make today’s post to you 💛

Today was day 1 of our storytelling workshop & it went amazingly!

I had so much fun yapping about safe, lifestyle newborn posing & lighting. It’s truly an amazing thing to be apart of those early days with a family & I’m so thankful to be able to help others learn and grow in the industry.

I want to talk about something that has been heavy in my mind lately- and it will seem silly to most lol.

I am well aware that my editing is not trendy, and it is not for everyone. That’s okay!

Again, this may seem silly to those that aren’t artist. I’m sure I sound a little dramatic when I say this is my artwork- I’m just taking pictures, right?

My editing is a reflection of my brain. I have been in dark places before- I never want to feel that way again. I edit colorful and bright just like I want to see the world. I want your memories to be full of life and joy. I know it’s not the trendiest or all over Pinterest, and I’m okay with that.

I’ve tried to fit in, but that’s so boring😉 I’ve decided to embrace it and go with it, just like everything else in life, I guess 😅💛

To me, this is what this day felt and looked like in my mind, and I want all of that vibrancy to reflect in the photos!

If it’s not your vibe, that’s okay❤️ But those that book me, I hope you get it & love looking back on your bold, dreamy images ✨

Just a few quick reminders-

Lastly, many of you know that my husband is getting out of the military VERY soon so this is a very chaotic time for us to say the least. He will be in school starting in July & my schedule will be limited. With that being said, I’m already beginning to fill up for July-November (it’s busy season!)

If you’re due during those months, or hope to snag a sunset session, please reach out now- We can also do smaller payment plans, the earlier you book!
