Every January brings a sense of possibility. Calendars are fresh, motivation feels renewed, and health and fitness goals often rise to the top of the priority list. Yet for many people, that momentum fades quickly. By February or March, routines feel overwhelming, progress stalls, or old aches and pains resurface. This cycle is common and it’s rarely a motivation problem.

I’m excited to share a new resource that expands access to pelvic floor education and guided exercise support.

I am now an affiliate for Every Mother, an evidence-informed exercise and education app focused on pelvic floor and core health.

The platform is designed to meet individuals where they are—whether postpartum, navigating perimenopause, managing core weakness or leakage, maintaining an active lifestyle, or simply seeking a better understanding of their body.

Through the app, users gain access to structured, guided programs as well as educational support from pelvic physical therapists who can answer general pelvic floor–related questions.

If you are looking for individualized care, I continue to offer comprehensive pelvic physical therapy services. I understand how challenging it can be to fit therapy, exercise, nutrition, hydration, and daily life into a single week, which is why flexible options matter.

Following an initial evaluation to assess your starting point, I can:

• Progress your care in person or virtually
• Provide physical therapy to address specific pelvic or musculoskeletal concerns
• Offer coaching through a generalized pelvic floor fitness program tailored to your lifestyle

The goal is to make high-quality pelvic health support more accessible and sustainable—without adding unnecessary burden to your schedule.

If you’ve been unsure where to begin or have been meaning to address pelvic floor concerns “someday,” this may be a helpful place to start.

Please feel free to message me directly or leave any questions below.

A pelvic floor physical therapy evaluation is a detailed, individualized assessment designed to understand how your pelvic muscles, movement patterns, postural control, core stability, and lifestyle habits contribute to your symptoms.

Deciding to seek care for pelvic floor concerns is a meaningful step toward greater comfort, function, and long-term wellness. At Core Focus DPT, we know that understanding the evaluation process a…

Thinking about pelvic floor physical therapy but not sure what your first visit looks like?

Taking that first step toward pelvic health can feel big, but it shouldn’t feel confusing.

Here’s what you can expect from your pelvic floor evaluation:

➡️ A conversation tailored to you. We start by listening. Your medical history, symptoms, lifestyle factors, and goals help shape the rest of your care.

➡️ A full-body understanding. Pelvic floor function doesn’t work in isolation. We observe posture, movement patterns, core stability, and how your body manages everyday tasks.

➡️ External and optional internal assessment. With your consent, we may include an internal exam to assess muscle strength, tone, trigger points, or structural factors and only if you feel comfortable. You’re always in control.

➡️ Detailed muscle function testing. Coordination, strength, endurance, and relaxation of the pelvic floor are all evaluated to uncover patterns that may be driving your symptoms.

➡️ Clear results & personalized plan. After the evaluation, we talk through findings, answer your questions, and build a plan focused on your goals, whether that’s reducing leaks, easing pain, or improving confidence in daily activities.

What matters most to me in physical therapy isn’t just what I treat, it’s also how I care for people.

Orthopedic injuries, core dysfunction, and pelvic floor concerns are often layered and confusing. Too many people are told what to do without truly understanding why they’re doing it. My goal is to change that. I take the time to explain what’s happening in your body in a way that makes sense, so you feel confident, informed, and capable of following through outside the clinic.

Every session is one-on-one. No bouncing between patients. No rushed timelines. Just focused, individualized care that meets you where you are and supports where you want to go.

Progress doesn’t stop when the session ends either. I follow up, adjust, and make sure what we’re working on actually fits into your real life.

Physical therapy should help you move better, feel stronger, and trust your body again—not leave you overwhelmed or guessing.

If you’re dealing with pain, leaking, core weakness, or an injury that just hasn’t resolved, there is a thoughtful, personalized path forward.

Living with chronic pain can feel overwhelming. It impacts not just your body, but your mood, energy, sleep, and ability to do the things you love.

Many people assume that medication or rest are the only solutions, but physical therapy (PT) offers a proven, long-term approach to reducing pain and restoring function.

By addressing the root causes of discomfort and teaching strategies for movement, strength, and balance, PT empowers you to manage pain in healthier and more sustainable ways.

✨ New Partner Announcement ✨

I’m excited to officially share a new partner I truly believe in: Every Mother.

This program is rooted in something I emphasize every single day as a physical therapist: how you breathe, move, and manage pressure matters more than how hard you work.

Every Mother focuses on:

✔️ Functional breathing & core coordination
✔️ Deep core + pelvic floor support (not just “tightening”)
✔️ Strength that supports real life—lifting, running, workouts, and motherhood
✔️ A smart, progressive approach that respects your body

Whether you’re postpartum, years out from delivery, returning to exercise, or realizing that traditional core work just hasn’t felt right—this is a gentle but powerful place to start or reset.

I’m partnering with Every Mother because it aligns with how I care for my patients: education first, pressure management, whole-body strength, and long-term confidence.

Use the Every Mother App to progress your pelvic floor exercises at home! And of course, I would be happy to work alongside you as your Physical Therapist or pelvic coach, to address a pelvic health issue or follow a wellness and prevention program.

👉 If you’re curious, you can explore the program here:

As always, this is an option, not a requirement. If you have questions about whether this fits your body or goals, I’m happy to talk it through with you.

Sometimes the most valuable outcome isn’t a specific technique, but increased awareness, clarity, and confidence in how to move and train. When you understand your body and feel supported by your provider, you’re better equipped to make decisions that serve your health well beyond the clinic.

When your core system is working well, the muscles of your trunk, hips, breathing system, and pelvic floor all share the job. No one area has to overwork. Things just feel… easier.

That’s when people start noticing:

🧩Less back or hip pain after sitting, standing, or lifting
🧩Better balance and confidence moving through workouts or daily tasks
🧩Less tension creeping into the neck and shoulders
🧩More control with impact, lifting, or quick movements
🧩Better bladder support and fewer “uh oh” moments during exercise

And one of my favorite parts?

You don’t have to think about it all the time.

A healthy core responds automatically. It firms up when you need support and relaxes when you don’t. You can breathe. You can move. You can stop bracing and just live.

So if movement feels harder than it should, or pain keeps showing up even though you’re “doing all the right things,” it’s often not about trying harder—it’s about helping the system work together again.
