Yes, I know it's cold so let's warm up together with Yoga in the Pines at Onslow Pines Recreation Park, 5:30 pm. Park in the main lot and get your steps in by walking past the gate or following the park path and entering through the fence line to get on the concrete walkway. Either way, find your way to the parking lot side of the building. We'll be in the "meeting room." I will post a picture in the comments. See you soon! Special price: 4 class pass is $28

This is a "test" that is purported to predict longevity. I don't think it's a good idea to use this unless you have someone around that knows how to do it safely. It is NOT for people who have joint problems or disabilities. How many people b/t the ages of 45 and 75 DON'T have those issues? I will tell you that it's highly motivating for those of us of a certain age to prove to ourselves that we are going to live long and prosper and will try this test despite having disabilities or joint problems that it can exacerbate. This test should come with a HUGE warning label. This is just my opinion-what's yours?

In a 2025 study, middle-aged and older people who could do the sit-to-rise test without support were less likely to die (especially of cardiovascular disease) within the following decade....

Good morning! We will have Yoga in the Pines inside this week. Remember, Tuesday mornings at 10am and our new offering, Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm. Our evening class is always going to be inside the blue building just inside the park gate. Please park in the main parking lot for this class as the gates will be closed and you don't want your car to be "gated" in. During the day, please feel free to park in the lot in front of the blue building at 1250 Onslow Pines Rd.
